In the Media folder there will be sub folders for each Menu/System plus one for the Front End itself.

Within each of those folders is a section for your Images, Video, Sounds and Themes.

Images is broken down into parts.

Artwork 1-4 are used when a Theme calls for an artwork file that's not present in a them. (Used for default themes)
Backgrounds I think is similar and used for default themes.
Genre is used for Genre media for that system
Letters is used for the lettering system when you hold skip back for forwards.
Other is used for pointers.
Particle is for effects/transitions I think for when you switch between items.
Wheel is where the labels go for each item/game etc.

Sound is also broken down into parts.

Background Music is used for backing tracks which can play when the item/game with the same name is displaying.
System Exit is used for when you exit that system back into main menu.
System Start same as the above but for when you enter that system from the main menu.
Wheel Sounds are used for each time you move between items in the menu.

Themes is a bit simpler.
Themes will contain a Default theme which can use artwork items from the Images folder above and/or individual theme items for each game.

Video is the simplest.

You just need to add video files with the same name as your item. Each theme or a default theme looks in this folder for its partnering video preview.

I hope this was helpful. ?

This might be a dumb question but I can't find an answer. Is it possible to use a different drive for the artwork folders? I would like to use a second hard drive to house my media/artwork but can't see any way to point to the different locations. Is this possible?

Thanks

you can only move videos out of the media folder,  wheel, Artowrk1-4  and themes need to stay in your media folder

you can move videos out of Hyprspin and change the video folder location in HyperHQ

you cannot do the same for media folders

creating symbolic links solves this problem,  this does not mean that Hyperspin has support to move artwork out of the media folder.

Pregunta:
