The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

How do I actually use RocketLauncher?

I know I said I wasn't going to do so due to space constraints but recently I was able to get my hands on a larger flash drive so no longer had any reservations about using it. After having gone through the installation and setup tutorials by AV TV on youtube, I'm still unclear as to how I'm supposed to actually use RocketLauncher.

Running RocketLauncher.exe simply opens up a window that looks exactly the same as HyperLaunch.exe, and the RocketLauncherUI.exe seems to be only for settings.

Do I simply run HyperSpin.exe as normal?

Rocketlauncher is the launcher, you would still use HyperSpin as normal to launch games, RL is the behind the scenes and basically takes the place of HyperLaunch.  All it is is settings like HL.

Well hat answers that, but how do I actually take advantage of its so-called special effects? If what you say is true then I should already notice a difference graphically speaking. I was told there was a fade in/out effect but I don't see it.

Also, there's a momentary freeze whenever HyperSpin is loading its wheels, which doesn't make sense since I have a decently beasty pc. Might be the flash drive I have it all on, though.

I did enable the fading effect in RLUI, but it still does nothing. Do HyperSpin and my emulators have to be window for it to work? I have HyperSpin on fullscreen and my emulators launch fullscreen so I could understand if there was a Z Indexing problem

You have to setup fade by adding fade artwork to the necessary folders within the RK directories (Rocketlauncher/Media/Fade).  When you downloaded RL from their site, there should have been a base media pack that has a few but otherwise it is up to you to find what you want.  Fade is not setup initially. I am sure you turned it on, but it has nothing to show as nothing was added.

In HyperHQ, Multi means you will have multiple systems on the main menu where as single will only have the one system that you specify in the Single Mode Name selector.
