TomoSA123 Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Hi there, Completely new here so be kind :) We recently purchased an arcade machine for our office that uses hyperspin. With this machine however it doesnt seem like it has enough buttons or they arent programmed properly( See attached picture) It only has 3 buttons per side( Not including pause and start) For example while playing Mortal Kombat I can only do High Punch, Block and Low Kick ( Low Punch, Run, Low Kick doesnt work). Another example is the lost vikings where I cannot switch between characters. Is there anyway I can get this to work? Thanks in advance.
Creezz67 Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 You just don't have enough buttons, you should have 6 or 8 each side, then they could be programmed. This is only useful for early games and shooters by the look of it. Never seen an arcade machine with just 3 buttons each side !!
TomoSA123 Posted August 7, 2019 Author Posted August 7, 2019 Yeah apparently the 6 button version is quiet a bit more expensive. Was hoping you could map 2 buttons simultaneously that would then give you a third one (A + B = D, A + C = E etc)
TomoSA123 Posted August 7, 2019 Author Posted August 7, 2019 Maybe I can rebuild the controls with something like this? https://www.amazon.com/Hikig-Buttons-joysticks-Controller-Raspberry/dp/B07JFXQSM5/ref=sr_1_3?crid=P38S0OMH2P5U&keywords=arcade+machine+buttons&qid=1565182321&s=gateway&sprefix=arcade+machine+%2Caps%2C472&sr=8-3

Was hoping you could map 2 buttons simultaneously that would then give you a third one (A + B = D, A + C = E etc) this are known as shift keys and only way you can get this to work is if you know what type of encoder you have. if its a joystick encoder you can use xpadder or joy2key if its a keyboard encoder similar to an Ipac you need to program those keys to your encoder. open your machine and take a picture of the hardware, I find it hard to believe that you have an encoder that only supports 3 buttons. you might be able to add more buttons to your current set up. if the encoders you have are limited to only 3 (+ service) you can buy new ones I use this https://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-For-MAME-Fight-Stick-Controls-Zero-Delay-USB-Encoder-to-PC-Joystick-Button/292143061931?epid=507217355&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&hash=item4405155bab:g:AJIAAOSwYlRZN-kv&enc=AQAEAAAB4BPxNw%2BVj6nta7CKEs3N0qVSvePtrMW14M7UVu53HHvZWCAn4R7y5r2fUDt01ZkhF21sqAeOkgW2rkq2dmoIQ5bQoDb2hjctg1JzZnACbFdwoE1%2FDvrqhhk1jKMOJKBOCY1oBrqBDgu6eWL2P%2F2cHJKJhZH2VbsCeI3UlYV8s9C1jwRI%2FeVDMZLSNT6zseyYu5fwMdhCx4crNLRVQQhWYIjnp3Lhn4nrgXBTW5g0AuWrruyi0aTwLSc2oBlezZ30l%2B82wLCg3RXfzD1a65Tvkm3tlK9vBTDHwrHpaWdxLvOtOUIMY%2BqAO09zdukLCgYH7NDUqT7Frrrtgxo6v9t8HON2fT1XjGYYx8hTBYlvb%2BajOO4ST3Vno5HGLN7ee%2FXU8I4AH7x5edb1SfAENYDciqLVjDB7TvRiBgtaMIBEqRvY6L7R944rxxfTsgeOqbwRH%2FiT5m%2F5WC8m1On3LM1X9GBy9Qxx4Z9qhWgR2fHeTpZ7PzGVCjYNyynukKj1m2kuFy3JR%2FbbV4ZOvUc9Fxqa0CRDLgfjKbHPK2Qpj%2BnkKeGO%2FImbJ9LxN8nRNSvBE9rPW%2BWlaQlSf%2FzQRAONffSjoQBA%2Bufg3YQnsw1N1H1HpXf7jp3AmujzjXzmSvF7%2BAuJ3A%3D%3D&checksum=2921430619317a0535bc001e4315942d214fb7bc3ac6
