zanzabarjones Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 I've been trying to use runasdate to launch a game from PC launcher in rocketlauncher without much luck, any idea how to set this up? the link the program provides runs perfectly fine when clicked on,but errors pop up when using it through rocketlauncher
gigapig Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 This is a first. How are you doing this currently? I'm guessing the pre-launch options in Rocketlauncher? Another would be to create a script to run both the app then the game. If it's possible you could have runasdate launch everytime you run Hyperspin as a startup program if it does effect other programs. Sorry I can't be much more help as I've never used it.
Honosuseri Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Runasdate or Time Stopper are usually used for "Piracy". It's used to trick software by adjusting the system clock, the software still thinks it's working in the free Trial period. I'm not aware of any game that would need to use it, so it would be a first for me too! Runasdate or Time Stopper create shortcuts (.lnk files). Much like a batch file would do, it will run the runasdate.exe, adjust the clock and run the target program. These .lnk files would have to be named as the xml database file for Hyperspin wants them. I used .lnk files to do Taito Type X and other systems with the RH gameloader. "There is so much more and beckons me. To look through to these, infinite possibilities..."
