Trnzaddict Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Hey guys....I just wanted to check here before I go and create an account at the Dolphin forums and bother them, but I wanted to know how to load each game in dolphin with different video backends and also efb to texture options, lle audio, etc. Now in the loader screen you can right click properties on each game title and it gives you SOME options per game, but not all options that need to be tweaked for certain games TO GET THEM RUNNING 100%.... Anyone know? EDIT:Figured it out: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-unofficial-howto-using-gameini-settings-per-game Basically what you do is when you right click on the game and go to properties, click edit config and copy and paste any additional settings you may wish to add according to the legend on that thread. This is a must-do for Dolphin if you want to play games and have them work correctly. I am......Machine
gigapig Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Great timing, just what I was looking for. I have to drop the internal res for DKCR, due to stuttering, but I can push it up for Skyward Sword. Nice find, thank you.

You have the same card as me and your processor is clocked even higher than my 4.4 4670 which means I'll probably run into the same problem. Are you running higher than 1080p? I am......Machine
gigapig Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Your welcome:)As far as DKCR, Wonderful. You have the same card as me and your processor is clocked even higher than my 4.4 4670 which means I'll probably run into the same problem. Are you running higher than 1080p? Yours is clocked higher than mine, which is running at 4.2ghz. I must have had an issue previously, as I've whacked up the internal res to 4x, started DKCR, and all is running at 60fps. It looks a lot better compared to the native setting. I also have Anti-Alaising at 8 samples and Anisotropic filtering at 16x. The only thing I did before testing was install the 337.88 nVidia drivers. Edit: Those settings where on a certain level of DKCR, I changed to 2-5 Stormy Seas and it was literally stormy seas, frame rates drops from 60 to 40. Switching on V-Sync seems to have sorted it out, but if I reboot will it be bad again?
jeanvion Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 I tried configuring different gamecube profiles for mariokart by adding the following to the gameini: [Controls] PadProfile1 = 1MarioKart PadProfile2 = 2MarioKart However, the player 1 controller doesn't seem to work anymore when playing mario kart. If I select 2 players and use my second controller I control both players it seems. I even tried deleting the config but it doesn't change anything. Anyone has any idea for this issue? *Edit, found the reason: when you edit a config for a game in dolphin it's not saved directly in the gameini file under Dolphin/Sys/Gameini but in the documents folder. I mistyped there PadProfile1 = 2MarioKart! By configuring this way you also keep your settings when updating your dolphin emulator.
