mame help for cabinet rebirth

ugh.  so I lost my computer like a year ago, lkids work and etc and I have finally rebult a new one.  So..  New computer, old hard drive from old computer.  installed new hyperspin and copied all files from old to new.  The wheel justs SPINS...  esc key does nothing, I have to CTRL ALT DEL out.  So I unzipped HS to another folder and just ran it FRESH.  looks great.  So I gotta figure that out.  BUT, my Control Panel doesn't work, the trackball does of course, but nothing in mame, and for the life of me I cant remember what to do.  I think there was an ini file I copied.  Its been SO LONG since I did any config.  I cant even get the up down left right keys to work in mame so I can try and configure mame.  Maybe a fresh install of that?  Help is greatly appreciated

Make sure that in hyperhq that Trackball and Spinner isnt checked that will cause the issue of the spinning wheel. If the up,down,left,right arent working in MAME in the cfg folder delete the default.cfg and that will reset the controls for MAME. Hopefully that helps a little.

ok they are not checked and it still happens.  I think this pc is just crap.  lol  lenova amd a9-9425   4 gb ram.  64 bit.  its sluggish...

 

hell..  all I really wanna do is play shuffleshot with friends.  but I cant remember how to get trackball to work.  I used to go into mame and hit mouse x and move trackball to left and then mouse y and move it up abd down, but nothing  im so lost

oh and mame 32 works, mame64 I cant get anything to work

ok shew lol  a lot has changed.  I watched all tutorials, installed rocket etc.  mame works great, all emulators work great.  only thing that doesn't work are my joysticks in HS.  One the joys are assigned to Joy 1 is actually joy2 and wont let me change...  don't care.  Are there ini files I can delete and start over  I think I need to do a fresh install   

 

even when IN HS I can use keyboard to navigate, but cant hit enter to choose a game to play  anyone wanna take control of my screen for about 30 min and help.  Willing to compensate said person  thak you for your patience.  I feel like such a noob  Its been forever
