When Lightgun is plugged in it messes up my Xbox 360 controller

Hello everyone,

I just recently bought the newest light gun offered by Arcadelightguns.com, verion 2.0. It seems that everytime I plug it in it will messes with my Xbox 360 controller and the buttons that I have mapped to it. I'm not very tech savy when it comes to this stuff but does anyone have an idea that may be going on and how to fix it?

Try one thing: plug in the pad and the lightgun and map your buttons in MAME. Close MAME, enter in cfg folder, right click "default.cfg", properties, and set it to "read only".

Thank you for your help, I'll try this when I get home tonight. Just to be sure, the CFG folder can be found where? The Mame emulator folder or the Mame system using the Tab Button? Thank You.

I'm sorry, I tried it and there was no change at all.

So I guess you should use remapdevice function. Honestly I was never able to make it works correctly...

Thanks everyone, when I was messing with it last night when I plugged in the gun the Player 1 controller would shift it's ID to Player 2. I''l watch the video and read the attachment and let you all know how it goes. Thanks again.
