iceman291uk Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 When launching the front end i have an error that Hyperspin can not find the history.dat file in Mame emulator. For some reason it is looking at the F drive and my Hyperspin is on the D drive so where and what program or file do I change this within Hyperspin? Kind Regards, Jason
Spawk Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 Not sure what program this message is from but HS itself does not use history.dat at all. Generally HS just controls what is seen while browsing the wheels. It really cares nothing about versions or the actual launching, the game name either matches the xml or not. This happens when launching HS??? Sounds like possibly something you are starting via the "Startup Script"? The more info you can give, the better. Is this an arcade cab or home entertainment (xbox pads) style? What other programs/mods do you run (Hypermarquee, LED blinky, EDS, Hyperxmlspin)? Some highly customized theme like Aeon Nox? Maybe a screenshot of the error might help identify it?

FYI @iceman, this is frowned upon by the community, so maybe don't make it so obvious as I see you have posted elsewhere mentioning your upgrade from 2tb to 8tb Sounds like a Hyperspeech error to me, he will need to go and edit the Hyperpspeech.ini and change path to MAME history file on D drive.
