BuX2003 Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 Hello guys, I have downloaded a 440Gb Hyperspin system, and after that I have configured all the paths to match my system. But whenever I try to open a game I get a error saying that Rocketlaucnher couldn't find the emulator. I turns out that rocketlaucnher is searching for the rom name instead of the system name. Here is a excerpt from the log.txt: Command Line is: "I:\Hyperspin2\RocketLauncher\RocketLauncher.exe" "tmnt2." "MAME" -f "I:\Hyperspin2\HyperSpin.exe" -p "HyperSpin" I have checked the HyperHQ configuration and the command line preview looks like this: "I:\Hyperspin2\RocketLauncher\RocketLauncher.exe" "RomName." "MAME" -f "I:\Hyperspin2\HyperSpin.exe" -p "HyperSpin" This "RomName." is not set anywhere, and I couldn't find out where it has came from. To me is clear that this command line is wrong, because the romname is being given before the system name, but I can't find a way to make it right. Can you guys help me with this? Thanks in advance.
Spawk Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 The best advice I could give you is... don't download HyperSpin from anywhere but here! And learn to set this all up yourself properly. You have RocketLauncher but are still loading through HQ??? Whoever set that up clearly has no idea what there doing.

I have downloaded the exe from here and replaced the ones that came with the file. I don't know if it is being loaded on HQ, I just checked there how the wheel was configured to see if I could somehow manage to fix the problem. So considering what you said, there's no way to remove the "Romname." from the command line?
Spawk Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 No I am saying there might be a dozen things that don't work on that setup, and since you didn't set this up yourself, I would have to hold your hand the entire time basically teaching you everything... just to be clear, I will help anybody that really wants to learn. People who buy drives or download un-authorized builds of Hyperspin generally just want a quick fix. There are no quick fixes here! You have to look at it from our perspective. While the programs themselves are free, the gameplay videos for example that were shared with that setup probably came from EmuMovies. If you want large quantities of them synced to the right folders, it costs money for platinum membership. Same with the artwork like the wheel logos and themes belong to us here at HyperSpin. To sync a bunch of artwork and be all setup quick like costs money for platinum membership! And then end users like yourself show up here and want us to fix the garbage they got. The people selling and sharing these things are ASSHOLES! Do yourself a favor, watch some video tutorials (youtube). Play around a bit, see if you can't setup a front-end or two yourself just control wise, don't worry about graphics for now. Then if you decide you want to have a nice setup, spend some cash at emumovies and whatever FE you choose. Support the people that make all this possible.

It is against Hyperspin policy so try google for your answers or next time try and build your own like everyone else.
