Hyperspin refuses to launch

I dont know what im doing wrong, as far as i know everything is correct, but hyperspin refuses point blank to launch, i just get the spinning cursor then nothing at all..

 

is there a log file i can upload to show???

What version of windows are you using ?

Set Hyperspin.exe to run as admin and also ensure the drive Hyperspin is running from (D:\ for example) is set as an exclusion in your anti virus/Windows Defender settings.

Thanks, that made it run, is there anything in this folder that shouldnt be there?

No, nothing that will make a difference to it loading.

Also still set Hyperspin to run as admin and also RocketLauncherUI.exe

With that file you can also upgrade to Windows 11 if you wanted to.

If launching through HS  is not exactly like launching from RLUI then check these settings:

Also, it is NOT recommended to "run as admin"... ok maybe if you installed HS to "c:\Program Files" or some other "windows" folder that needs special permission.

It doesn't really show an error. It runs for about 10 seconds and then you hit "esc"... This is launched from RLUI?

Try a different game than APB through HS and see if the log changes.

That one surely shows an error waiting for the "window class" name. You are using a standalone mednafen on that one though so there may be an updated module on the RL forums somewhere.

You will probably have to fix each system that isn't working separately. Start with systems that use RA. mednafen_lynx works great for me:

Again, I can only revert back to my original post. If it's not exactly the same in HS as RL then you are just not set up correctly. That's all HS does is "call" RL. Check those settings again. They are the only settings that connect HS/RL. Make sure they are exactly (with your own paths obviously) as shown. These kind of setups are very tempermental, one little setting somewhere can affect a lot.
