Using bezels for clones on HBMAME ?

Hi all,

Does anyone know how to get MAME bezels (artwork folder) working with clones on HBMAME ?

It's literally the same as MAME (where parent bezel works fine with clones) but I can't get it to work with HBMAME.

All parent bezels work fine, just not clones.

Any ideas ?

I don't currently have HBMAME set up so I'm only speculating but you might be able to use Rocketlauncher managed bezels as an alternative because it uses the "cloneof" info in the database to match parent/clone.

Problem is: I took a look at the HBMAME database from Hyperlist and only a small portion of the games have the "cloneof" info filled in.

I assume if you copied over the "Media/Bezels/MAME" bezels to "Media/Bezels/HBMAME" and made sure all clones had correct "cloneof" info it would function properly.

I realize that's not the technique you are looking for, but it might achieve the desired result.

Perfect 👍

Although I prefer the MAME artwork set I was using, this way is much better for HBMAME.

I didn't realise I had already set it up to work with vertical and horizontal years ago (as i was using MAME bezels) so all working great now.
