filevans Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 please can anyone help me set up Atari 800 on Hyperspin, i don't mind using mess which is already set up, and i've added a new wheel for it, and a small xml file for the games, but i can't get it going thanks for everyone's help
brolly Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 If you can have patient and wait a few more days there is a big release coming for this one I advice you to use Altirra as the emu though.
filevans Posted February 28, 2011 Author Posted February 28, 2011 that will be nice, looking forward to it would also love to see Atari 2600 and ZX Spectrum too
brolly Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Those are being worked as well, but will take a bit longer. There is a thread for Atari 2600 if you want to check it out, it's really worth seeing it.
filevans Posted February 28, 2011 Author Posted February 28, 2011 that's good, is there the script available for altirra and the xml so i could just do a test of it? thanks a lot
filevans Posted March 1, 2011 Author Posted March 1, 2011 i've set up the wheel images and games for atari 2600, and i've been looking for an xml file for it, could anyone help me get hold of that? thanks everyone
filevans Posted March 1, 2011 Author Posted March 1, 2011 not really sure what hyperbase is i did a google search for it but nothing came up, but i found one here now http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11448
alienprotocol Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 hi everyone, i require some help to get atari 800 working with hyperspin. i am using altirra as my emu on a windows 7 machine. here are the issues i am having: 1. altirra loads atari 800 games, no problem. the problems begin when i attempt to select full screen mode for altirra. as soon as i do that, the sound stutters and the game action slows down. i hear this is a windows 7 issue for altirra - does anyone know if a fix is in soon? or maybe i should be using a different version of altirra (currently using 1.8)? has anyone else experienced this issue? 2. i can get atari 800 games to launch in altirra via hyperspin, but unable to get them to launch in full screen mode. i have seen discussion about this issue and implemented all the ideas here, but none of them fixed the issue: /forum/archive/index.php/t-11265.html (sorry - can't post the whole URL as i have less than 5 posts ... so i included everything to the right of the hyperspin-fe domain name re: the link above) does anyone have any ideas how to force full screen in altirra upon launch in hyperspin? 3. i would like some console wheel art for the atari 800 but cannot find any, both @ hyperspin and @ emu paradise. any ideas? also - how about game wheel art ... does anyone know where i might be able to find some? 4. does anyone have a link to the definitive atari 800 xml database? my filenames appear to be in TOSEC format. can't seem to find a solid xml file anywhere, and i am unable to use clrmamepro to clean this up - i would love to get rid of the duplicates. any leads? any ideas? many thanks in advance for any and all info! - ap
mytymaus007 Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 you can make your own .xml with this app HyperROM2XML. do you hvae a script to load atari 800 in HS
krawhitham Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 If you can have patient and wait a few more days there is a big release coming for this one I advice you to use Altirra as the emu though. where can one find this big release
brolly Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Sorry, it was put on the back burner since I ended up working on other equally large dbs and there didn't seem to be that much interest on atari 8-bit, also ended up finding a truckload of games not on TOSEC sets which needed to be added to the db and some more double checking was needed. I have this around 80% done, just need to get back to it, probably only after finishing Amiga and PSX though.
nathan1974au Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 never use hyperrom2xml! screws up ya list! use HyperTools-4.3.25 /Create New HyperList is the best tool! (Midlife crisis) some have hot rods, some have gold chains, I have arcade machine with hyperspin.
phulshof Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I wrote a simple Linux tool to write XML files from the MAME/MESS software list output for the Cabrio 2 front-end, but they should be compatible with Hyperspin as well. I put the 0.155 output for the Atari 800 in /Upload Here/phulshof on the FTP server if anyone wants to take a look. Let me know if they are of any help and/or if I should make some changes. I intend to release full MAME/MESS lists on a regular basis if they are usable.
