RetroArch install forced?

Question

Posted

Just installed the beta.   Setup a system (NES), setup a custom emulator (Nestopia) and said download everything and hit go.

then I see this:

I didn't ask it to download RetroArch?  Why is it downloading it?

I have the same problem with MAME.

I went and setup my MAME install in emulators to my existing MAME install, then went to add a system, selected MAME, went through the wizard and set it to download everything.

And now its downloading MAME...  even though HyperHQ already has a MAME emulator setup.

Thats a bug for sure. Does it use the correct emulator once it's installed?

click the menu button, then go to edit. What is the default emulator here?

Nope.   It defaulted to RetroArch for NES.

I wonder if this is because I selected 'download bezels' to an emulator that doesn't support bezels maybe?  (I realized it after I did it)

For MAME, it looks like it downloaded the MAME install package, but didn't extract it in '/hyperspin/emulators/mame/_temp'

So no harm there I guess.

Awesome, thank you!

I'm waiting for the HyperHQ update (forced C drive install) to be fixed before I reinstall and start kicking the tires again.
