1 dreamw Posted yesterday at 07:54 AM Posted yesterday at 07:54 AM king91six, my friend this is BETA-TEST. There will be many more bugs and fixes here. No need to get angry, use version 1.5 for now as a base, and this version is still very unstable. You should have understood this, because they immediately said - this is a Beta test.

Who is the intended audience for HyperSpin 2.0? I'm not trying to be snarky, I'm legitimately asking. The cache system makes it nearly impossible to create content. So if I made a new system with 20 games and created all the media myself, would I put them in overrides and suffer the long delay of the cache system? What if I had to make quick adjustments or edits because they are never 100% right the first attempt? But then for a theme I have to submit and upload online but wait for the cache system to allow me to test my own theme after downloading it? Again I would probably want revisions and absolutely would not want to publicly submit my work until I could test it offline. That process isn't just slow and inconvenient, its very uncomfortable. I don't feel like these are beta issues, it seems like the intended process. So Hyperspin 2.0 will be for someone who wants to have a front-end but only the more popular system with available media, doesn't want to add their own systems/media, and is ok having the same themes as everyone else. It's sounds like Hyperspin 2.0 was made to attract the same people that purchased Hyperspin HDDs. A very quick front-end setup designed to automatically install everything and discourge any DIY creativity or advanced customization. I hope all those assumptions are incorrect and the beta will become something that's "user-friendly" but not at the detriment of "creative freedom". 2

There is NO way anyone is building a system with 100’s of wheels with it all being encrypted and no way to back it up or change it at will. Even Launchbox still uses xml and it’s portable so there is no excuse. I just can’t understand why Hyperspin 1.5 can’t just be updated from 1024x768 to 1920x1080 at least. Like the saying goes …. If it ain’t broke DON’T fix it. 3
