Devs have released a new private beta to the team to test, but have been reported several bugs, preventing the public release of this particular installment. once its been ironed out enough , you will be able to test the public release of this version. Im seeing a lot of really cool features being added, but i cant reveal the specifics, because they are the ones that are entitled to unveil them. Just believe me when i say that quite a few of the requested features ive read in the forum, are popping up, plus a ton of extras! Ive been keeping busy with artwork projects, most of which are just creations i made to place on my personal setup. As well as getting back into my theme'n groove with a few mor ArcadePC themes. So I think its a valid question. Also your observation about it only working with some.... was exactly what was wrong with it before... so if your saying not all... I dont think anything was done to improve it.

I don't want to spread misinformation, so I can't say for certain what was or wasn't done for media. (I mistook your original question to mean that you had little to no media available before.) And yes, I think a hefty amount of code is being written but not a complete rewrite. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

No i tested it rather extensively... and well... many of the wheels even though they had media... were just blank and wouldnt show any media at all. So if they end up fixing this... Hyperspin 2.. should explode in populatrity again.. Everything else seemed to work... but the media was completely broken. Glad to hear theyre working on it again though.. sounds promising. 1

Media is indeed not working correctly at the moment because they have been adding a new feature and its not playing nice with windows. From what ive been told, Its a major wrench in the cogs and fixing/patching is going to take a lot of work and time to get it stable again, but the lead programmer is confident in how to patch the problem, its just a pain in the ass. in the meantime, for those who aren't aware, (probably 99% of new users here since the days HS1 was in its hay days), I follow and keep current on anything ArcadePC, "TeknoChicken", and keep in sync with releases, patches, general progress, etc...That being said, I got inspired to put some theme .psd's together to get a jump on filling the new wheel with HD game themes. i posted a few here and there a while back and our loyal theme wizard @rondar, has been rad enough to animate and publish them for me because, when it comes to animations, i just don't have the creative thinking or ideas to bring my artwork to life. I have posted several times in the past about wanting a partner/assistant that i could share the psds with, and let them animate/publish them but it has never worked out, and i have a lot of project files stacking up on the backup drives. If you want to help out just let me know and shoot me a dm. You can also shoot me or rondar a dm, if you want opinions or advice or need help to create a desired effect, or even just to show off your work! Getting back to my original subject, TeknoParrot, now supports Sega Triforce, Namco system 246/256, and Namco system 357/359 , and has made great improvements in the compatibility and visuals so i started game themes for Namco system 357/359 and gave the psd files to rondar to polish and animate for us. Heres the screenys of the set so far and as i said, they are only W.I.P. so artwork could be added or omitted befor they get published. baddeolv Posted 23 hours ago Author Posted 23 hours ago Update: The test build is getting better but not yet ready for public beta testing. They are patching the bugs that the dev team have been reporting, which take time, but they have been working at a fast pace and are going through the patches daily with New updated versions. However the new features are super awesome and media is being linked in by the truckloads! While still not 100% on every category, you can get stoked for new additions that weren't present in previous versions. I have been working on the teknoparrot Media as well as adding the missing games that are supported by the emulator, into the hyperlist so they are recognized as you add them to your HQ, it's a slow process but I'm making sure that I am adding all the metadata for each game correctly, but that means I have to manually Google each game one by one. I'm also grabbing the correct arcade flyer and background images that I am finding as I search for information in able to turn over to the project leads so they can link and store on the server for syncing support. All the while staying updated on high def wheel logos and creating a theme or two here and there that our resident artwork wizard @rondar is fine tuning and animating for all of us to enjoy.
