How do I hide .bin file extensions from showing in hyperspin's game list?

For creating your own list, what I do is move all the cue files to a new folder and create a list on that. Then I just move them back.

If you're using the official HyperSpin XML files as a database, you can just tell HyperlaunchHQ to only look at cue extensions under Global -> Emulators setting.

Hoping your answer is one of those two things, otherwise we need more precise info :).

Sega CD and ps 1 games show just the .cue files for each game and not the .cue and .bin files.

Yeah I had the same problem with my PS1 games. I used rom2xml and edited the xml with notepad++ and deleted

the duplicated entire and I did this because I wanted to edit some of my game description. Later on down the track I'll add in Genre.

The thread says it all.

I ask because I am trying to have my Sega CD and ps 1 games show just the .cue files for each game and not the .cue and .bin files.

Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks for the help.

Using HyperTools is the easiest way to do this.

Just launch "Create New HyperList.exe".

Choose your ROM Folder.

It will fill in all possible extensions.

Remove all but cue and/or CUE.

Turn off Calculate CRCs...

Hit the "Build HyperList XML File" button.
