damageinc86
Would it be appropriate to then call this the worst of the worst!? haha. Looks like a good start though!
rust2dust
Just trying to decide whether to wrap it or custom paint....The wife preferred the latter
rust2dust
I'm thinking old school joust type side art with the HS logo integrated into the design. Just got my carbon fiber for the screen bezel and control layout. Just moved to the sticks.....This is what happens when you leave me in the woods alone..... HazzardActual
I like your idea rust. Make a stencil for the HS logo and find 4 colors and just shift the stencil like an inch to the left/right per color.
rust2dust
Between working in the oil field, car and home repairs , the kids and the dreaded honey do list I have not had a lot of time to do anything this week.....but I am cutting and shaving the carbon fiber as we speak. shaybe
Nice work so far. Quick question about the CP, what is the 7th (Bottom) button for each character going to be for? Are there games that use more than 6 buttons, or will it be a duplicate of another button for a better layout for some games?
rust2dust
Leaving my options open....The really bad part is some ps2 games use 8 buttons so I'm not really sure how I am going to deal with that.....luckily I have enough buttons to use....just have to make another hole or 2. Good news is that I started on paint today.....it is coming out really nice....more pics when there is more to see....
HazzardActual
rust are you going to use external controllers? Im using a 360 wireless, about to get a ps4 for the touch pad.
rust2dust
Nope....bought a brand spanking new set of suzo happ joysticks and buttons. I was going to put this in my gutted Mortal kombat 2 but the wife said she wants a 60 in 1 for the kids and company. Also may make a free standing trackball later. rust2dust
Not trying to sound like a jerk so please don't take it that way..... Why would you build a cab only to use xbox controllers? I always thought the only reason you would use them is if you were leaving it on your TV. (No room for a cab/ bitchy spouse etc.)
HazzardActual
well you pretty much have to have one for more modern emulation, ANY ps2 game thats not a fighter requires dual analogs. Plus sometimes i'm not going to want to stand up in front of the cab to play a game, so i'll just power up my wireless and enjoy some couch games. And my "arcade" right now is just a media PC for my living room and my Ipac is in a cardboard box with buttons cut into it.
rust2dust
Is it possible to use dual joysticks and keep most games on ps2 etc one player?
HazzardActual
Maybe if you had analog sticks to begin with. I want to say ive seen a program that you can emulate analog sticks with 8 ways.... but im not 100% certain
Agrajag
Rust, it sounds like you're talking about games that are normally played using a PS2 controller with both thumbs on the sticks and fingers on the shoulder buttons. If you play them on your cab's controls you'll have both hands on the sticks, so how will you press the buttons?
rust2dust
I would guess the same way you would use a controller.....albeit a bit more exaggerated. lol.
