I've placed it on the hyperspin ftp under nathan1974au hyperspin stuff in uploads area!. if you want it it's my best work yet! with a amisoft disk jumping in 3d! looks cool

also used a Amstrad 128k manual which had a thrashing looks rustic and unique used that as a wheel! used a bit of scene influence within designing

using a green hex grid giving it a retro feel like the good old days!

here's the wheel art what it looks like

ive never owned an Amstrad but i used to go around me friends place to play his amstrad 464 with tape drive!

back in 1985. and at high school. used an amstrad 128 disk system! the most awesome 8bit computer ever made!

still today i love that computer.

i dont even know what that last system is

do we have

module?

roms?

etc?

thanks

craig

it's a commodore c64 console by then every man and his dog had a commodore 64 computer they really did'nt need a console.. computer did the same any way!

use the normal c64 module! instead of using discs tapes you use the carts! if you want the carts ill put them in the ftp for ya!

carts are in there now! (rare stuff complete set! c64 games and action replay carts!

470+ c64 rom carts, around 17meg)

finished xml for c64 cartrige set. use ccs64! emulator and bam!

also merged roms into one zip on hyperspin ftp

enjoy! game on

I probably have a lot of artwork for those from my [unofficial] commodore c64 thread. Saw alot of ocean cart based gamez and a gazillion others. Nice work.

new tech i'm working on is to make cartridges from .d64 files! the news is awesome i have created one! (panther) ill put it on ftp for you guys to test! this may be the newest way to get fast loading times, no disk swapping, cartridge file handles 2 meg data.

but i have found out ccs64 is buggy! dont use it! use winvice way better more stable emulator! plays all crt files!

How many disks can you cram in a cart?

2 meg of data!

if you want to experiment a little you need 2 tools.

a ripper tool that exports .prg files from a .D64 image to natural pc hard drive. http://www.d64editor.com/d64editor/d64setup.zip

and one to make the .Crt image from the exported .prg files http://csdb.dk/release/download.php?id=123800

but what i have found using them have found it may be a single .prg or a compilation of singles can be made into a .crt.

give it a try!

other stuff i'm working on experimenting

in time i want to just have a raw prg running instead of a menu system. within the cart.

may need assembly coding change flags and set .prg to a .bin starting point $8000 in assembly code.

this is not about a real cart for the c64 but a virtual one!

if you know any tools that could make a virtual cart using prg files on the c64 let me know!..

the only thing i dislike about the carts is from the old stock carts they use port 1 joystick the new stock carts from 1990's are port 2 joystick.

so it's going to be a bugger! using key to joy should fix this.

ive had to redo the whole theme i stuffed it up mega! no videos or art work worked!

this one is almost complete and completely working. i like the way the carts pop into the machine and them start playing the video. almost looks like the real thing..

i wont release yet until complete! ill take my time here!

i feel sorry for you guys from me swapping and changing i must apologize!

this is my finnish sub theme for the c64 console!

155m05u.png

just scraped the ugly blue thing back to suit main theme. looks much better

has alot of stuff going on now with carts and box art! had to draw up me a bigger console slot to match carts so it looks like there

being put into the system for a cool affect! i think it is unique and different to other menu's ive seen! just doing all the box art and cart art + wheel art. new a xml games only!. all action replays are gone in new xml. once finnished ill zip contents and put it up for download on ftp! soon..

i do it all for the love of an old machine, call'ed the commodore 64!

latest tech for the c64 after much rest from cart making.

ive found by ripping .prg out of the .d64 and exporting them to a folder within the pc you have unlimited space! well limited due to the size of your HD!.

you have 6 swaps to run a c64 game uses 3 disks double sided. well if all .prg files are in one folder you have no swaps! just a constant load!

so far what i have been testing works without a hitch! this may give the edge to many problems to disk swapping within your cab!

using winvice and prg starter to run off the fly

dirmaster v3.0.0 to rip and export the .prg files

only one game worked :(

there is another way is to use a .d81 image empty it and add files to that works awesome!

I like how this is going. So just to get my head around this.....

Do the games for this load straight away?? No load screens??

Are all the games or at least the best ones for the original c64 available for this???

If both of the above are yes, I would replace. The original c64 with this.

finished all the C64 cartridge 200+ art and also put my theme up for download on hyperspin ftp. still needs wheel art & box art & videos.

tested and all is working videos, carts, box art all zipped into one file saves messing about.

Game on man!

added more carts in ftp last ninja 3, creatures, etc also 2 tools you require to make your own customized carts from single prg files.

so your not just limited from original C64 carts. you can add more games.

ill soon put up a walkthru!
