brolly Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Those can all be downloaded directly from Commons Source Project website.
DrMaxwell Posted November 8, 2014 Author Posted November 8, 2014 Of course they can. You can get the source and binary emulators, but I am offering working packages for people who don't know how to compile Japanese emulators. Some need hex editing to work in non Japanese uni-code environments. The XM6g, for instance, doesn't work in my arcade cabinet because of the developers desire to move away from the OS. The only version that is available and close to the current model is 2.05, which needs a hexadecimal editor to remove restrictions. I'm sure there are links to this as well How to guides and custom artwork sets @ https://www.youtube.com/user/MaxwellParadigm Themes, Wheels, Carts and Database Downloads available @ http://spacevalkyrie.weebly.com/

brolly Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Xm6g has nothing to do with this package I was merely referring to what you posted on this thread. And there's no need to compile anything for Takeda's emulators the executables you are providing already come included in the package you download from his site.
DrMaxwell Posted November 9, 2014 Author Posted November 9, 2014 You don't have any idea of what I'm providing apparently, so I suggest you try not to take my words out of context if you haven't read what I clearly stated in my previous post. The XM6g is a Japanese emulator and so it does relate to my original message and the purpose behind it. Furthermore, providing a link to his home page is great for those who can navigate a Japanese website, but doesn't do much besides provide hyperlinks to Mr Takeda's WIP updates in Japanese. I don't understand why some people are looking to shoot down any constructive posts that try to assist others in something they may not be aware of or able to do. Are these emulators supported by Hyperspin? No, mostly not. Do we have databases for them on this website? No, mostly not. Making people aware they are available and or generating interest in the Japanese emulating scene is productive. Simply, providing a link that anyone can access that leads to a site in Japanese which most readers cannot understand doesn't help. Secondly, doing so as a reply to my initial post is just dismissive and fortunately I've had a few people private message me about the emulators from this post, which lends itself to what I've just pointed out here. It is this attitude that sends people away from this community and from Hyperspin in general. You have been here for a long time and I think you a very knowledgeable in what emulators are available; however, others may not have your wisdom or experience and it is for those people that this post warrants. This isn't something I should need to spell out to you or anyone here. If you disagree, please let me know. Yes, there are binary and source codes available for these emulators on this website. They don't need to be compiled but some do need packaging with certain elements included or tweaking to get working correctly. Anyway, I'm going to stop posting because I'm not in the mood for this unproductive banter. eezetee Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Are these the same exe's? http://homepage3.nifty.com/takeda-toshiya/ Download Source Code Archive (10/29/2014) and Old Versions Binary Archive (10/29/2014)
craiganderson Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 I was just sharing a link. Not making any statement. Thanks for the info etc. http://craigandersonthemes.weebly.com/
brolly Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Are these the same exe's?http://homepage3.nifty.com/takeda-toshiya/ Download Source Code Archive (10/29/2014) and Old Versions Binary Archive (10/29/2014) Yes they are exactly the same.
DrMaxwell Posted November 10, 2014 Author Posted November 10, 2014 Did I link any executables yet? I don't think so. Did I say I was just sending executables? Nope. Does that Hyperlink send you to the downloadable binaries? Not directly. I give up. It seems nobody is reading this correctly and I'm wasting my time. Have a nice day guys. eezetee Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Hi DrMaxwell, I'd be willing to help you set some of these up and document the process for Hyperspin if we can. If you kick off a project, please add me.
Tristeele Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Maxwell no need to quit this. Others (including myself) would love to have this stuff. Don't let one opinion bother you.... And Brolly you were very dismissive. I know you are a bigwig here and have done a ton of cool stuff, but Im not sure that should allow you to act like that. Just my own opinion.
brolly Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Act like what? I was just stating posting something like this was pointless since you can download the binaries directly from the CSP website. The only thing extra needed to run them are the bios files which aren't allowed to be posted here anyway. Jeez you guys are really sensitive sometimes, anyway don't want to drag this over anymore. If the OP is actually doing something more than that then I'm afraid he isn't doing a great job explaining it because I still don't get it.
craiganderson Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 I cant get the Emu5 to work on my win 8.1 setup. Anybody else? There are some Sord M5 roms that I cannot get to work in MESS and that is why I wanna give this one a shot.... here is another sord m5 emulator .. at least thats what site says..i have not tested http://www.msxzone.com/community/5632 thanks http://craigandersonthemes.weebly.com/
craiganderson Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 For which emulator? http://craigandersonthemes.weebly.com/
Roverius Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Thanks Craig. Made a module myself. Was for Epoch Supper Cassette Vision. If intrested, here is the module: ;---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ; Epoch Super Cassette Vision ; ; ; ; ;---------------------------------------------------------------------------- RunWait, "%emuPath%%Executable%" "%romPath%%romName%%romExtension%" Process, Close, %executable% ExitApp CloseProcess: Process, Close, %Executable% return ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For the roms, its easiest to unpack the *.rar files or *.zip files and use the *.bin file
craiganderson Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 thanks. i think i epoch super cassette vision running pretty well in MESS. and here are the themes, wheels, videos that i made just fyi in case somebody missed them before the background .swf is from the NES theme...so thank you to that person http://craigandersonthemes.weebly.com/
