dfwArcade
Hello Pinners & Spinners, Wow what a year for custom & themed artwork designs for our community members. Thanks so much for the steady stream of graphic design projects from our members. It's been a wonderful gamut of ideas and design layouts. Up first is Pin City, my all time favorite so far for VPcabs. The client needed multiple machines of Brad Baker's standard body with red, white & blue powder coated hardware options. Having a one of a kind 3D pinball inspired city design. I had to create a fun commercial free design to showcase some high end pinball machines for a game room distribution company out of St. Louis. These machines ended up in their many showrooms in the Midwest. Thanks to VPcabs and the distribution management team for helping me conjure up this glorious designed projected. Richie Wrench Pinball is a fun project fueled by their company mascot. The client wanted his blonde non-Italian no mustache plumber to be showcased in a water works environment. We tried a few initial title treatments in a few different color layouts to flush (sorry couldn't resist) out the theme for the project. The overall design and use of the mascot turned out to be a wonderful flow of color and space to match the goal of making people more aware of the company's mascot for their plumbing business in Illinois. VPcabs needed a new Mini Cabinet Design with their company logo (which I designed) to be some what aggressive and eye catching for some Midwest pinball conventions. We took an earlier VPcabs standard body & P2k design and reformatted it to fit the new Mini dimensions. The original design was blue, yellow and red and we transformed that into a metallic and brimstone dark edgy design. The results work great for the goal of the project. Last is a piggy back project for a standup arcade classic Goonies. Gbeef designed a beautiful control panel for a HS member who was looking to further that design and create a marquee, 2 sides and a kick plate. The result is a great homage to the movie and Gbeef's attention to detail with great elements from the story used throughout the design. The end result is a real tribute to the classic film. Thanks to all of you who have checked out my posts and have asked questions or inquired about your projects. These design projects are a pleasure to work on and I feel honored when I get to bring these wonderful ideas to life. VPcabs has really set the bar in this realm and each time we tackle a new project great design ideas are spurred and something terrific happens for the community. Speaker bezel art as well as inner rail designs have really evolved the past year and I look forward to more pioneering design solutions in 2015. Thank you all for the work. If you have any questions or would like to talk about your own project ideas please let me know. You can also send me an email by visiting my web site: http://www.jwgfx.com Thank you. All the best!
