Did anyone get this working? I can get commadore 64 working with winvice but commodore 16 plus4 games use another emu that comes with winvice. I've tried to set it up a few ways but no luck just yet.

So has anyone done this successfully?

Thanks

Affirmative. I do have it running using the newest WinVice module. It's a little different getting it setup because it uses a different exe, but this is how to do it.

Make sure you have the latest and greatest modules.

Add the system to your wheel in HyperHQ. Be sure and name it "Commodore 16 & Plus4" so HyperLaunch will see it.

Launch HyperLaunchHQ.

Make sure Global is selected on the top left. Then click on Emulators.

Hit the Green Plus icon to Add A New Emulator.

I called mine (Name) "WinVICE (Commodore 16 & Plus4)".

The Path should be to your xplus4.exe in your WinVICE emulator folder.

My Rom Extensions are "7z|zip|bin".

The Module is WinVICE.ahk.

This will give you a Global Emulator for the Commodore 16 & Plus4.

Setup the rest as you should.

Give this a whirl and let me know.

Thanks,

Ron

Thanks for the quick reply I've nearly got it working but I've still got some issues.

1. My roms are .prg & .Tap I've tried in every way I know to add this to the WinVICE (Commodore 16 & Plus4) EMU even the .ahk for WinVICE but no luck. Any ideas? How did you get .bin to work?

2. In my HyperLaunch HQ for the EMU (not the global top left) Commodore 16 & Plus4 when I try to add a default emulator no list comes up but if I do this with Commodore 64 I get a list with the Commodore 16 & Plus4 Emu there & a few others.

Other than that I've got HyperLaunch opening the Emu but I have to type in Commodore 16 & Plus4 other wise it creates Commodore 16 & Plus4 I've no idea why that is.

Thanks for the help!

Just to get around the probs I've renames the .prg files to .tap & this seems to fix the problem.

The only problem I have is that HyperlaunchHQ has a problem with 2 emulators using the same .AHK file do I need to make another Module folder for WinVICE C16 or something?

Thanks

See my post above. You just create a new global emulator and use the same WinVICE.ahk for it. HL does not have a problem with two emulators using the same module. You just have to create a new Global so you can point to the correct exe.

Ron

Hey Ron I've made a few changes & now HLHQ doesn't have a problem with them using the same AHK file but I'm still not able to set a Default Emu as none appear in the list

Check the screen shots attached. The C64 I can choose a Global for WinVICE & the C16 version but in the C16 nothing is shown in the Default list to choose.

Sounds like you are getting close.

I cannot make out the screen shots. Can you attach them individually please?

Thanks,

Ron

Sorry Ron I didn't know the forum shrunk the sizes.

I have noticed when I select the module ahk file for C64 HLHQ puts in the path as WinVICE.ahk but when I do exactly the same for C16 it puts ..\WinVICE\WinVICE.ahk as the path. You can see that in the images above.

C:\Hyperspin\HyperLaunch\Settings\Commodore 16 & Plus4\Emulators.ini

I added xplus4 to the Default Emu

C:\Hyperspin\HyperLaunch\Settings\Global Emulators.ini

I added this under the WinVICE entry

[xplus4]

Emu_Path=..\Emulators\WinVICE\WinVICE-2.4-x64\xplus4.exe

Rom_Extension=7z|zip|crt|d64|tap|prg|t64|nib|bin

Module=WinVICE.ahk

HyperPause_Save_State_Keys=

HyperPause_Load_State_Keys=

C:\Hyperspin\HyperLaunch\Modules

I added xplus4 folder with the .ahk file from WineVICE

After doing all this it seems to work ok but if I install the latest version of anything I'm guessing the Global Emulators.ini file will update getting rid of all my changes?

If you know what I did wrong before that would work better I guess. So any ideas, if not I'll stick with this for now i guess.

MEmu = WinVICE

MEmuV = v2.3.25

MURL = http://vice-emu.sourceforge.net/

MAuthor = djvj

MVersion = 2.0

MCRC = E628762B

iCRC = 3F38FBB2

MID = 635038268936170754

MSystem = "Commodore 64"

I'm not sure which one is the module number. It the one that came with RL downloaded a couple of weeks ago.

I don't think that module will support it. Update your module.

There are two ways. See below:

Thanks,

Ron
