eezetee Posted February 10, 2015 Author Posted February 10, 2015 THanks all. So what i've been trying to understand is that if I have the non-default games (thanks for clarification wahoobrian) set to port 2 (or vice versa) then the default games do not require entries in the ini file. OK, clear enough. For the keyboard games, the joystick in either port really messes with those. Got that too. Where do these files actually go? I have a shiny commodore 64.ini from this thread, but really don't know where to put it. Side note: I'm not an artist but I'd be willing to grab screen captures of gameplay if required. Is there a list that is not complete?
eezetee Posted February 10, 2015 Author Posted February 10, 2015 . Anyone that wants to help out dougan can pm myself or brolly. Considering that dougan has already knocked out wheels and artwork for about 25% of those games in a couple months time is stunning. More people would get this wrapped up in no time... Is there a progress site where we can see what needs to be done? I can try to assist with screen recordsings
gigapig Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 The Commodore 64.ini goes in the module folder.
Styphelus Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 As someone who doesn't know much about the C64, I'm confused. I got it all setup and running but the controls are an issue. So do I need 2 installs of the emulator? Would someone be able to write a very quick and dirty guide with step by step instructions?

Well Ron has already put together a guide which you probably know about. For controls I'm pretty sure you just need to set up key set A & B for joystick in port 1 and 2, or (I don't know if this will work) but if your only doing single player perhaps just a key set A and then add Keyset A to both port 1 & 2. There are also a bunch of other keys you may wish to set up, like "Y" & "N" to get you past the trainers and also caps, ctrl, space to start games etc. I also have alt-w, alt-j, alt-l and alt-s for swapping joysticks from port 1 & 2 and quick load and quick save. You can also use the ini file both myself and WahooBrian posted to set the joy port in HLHQ. If anyone has any more input or if I've have anything wrong, please post.
