I used to have this system set up with WinApe. I have switched to MESS because I just like the emu better. I can't get any of these emus to display the games in full screen. I get black bars around the game screen. Is there a way to do this with these or any other emu?

Yay! a fellow fullscreen stretcher!!!! For MESS edit the global module and then go to the Amstrad GX4000 tab. For Parameters put -nokeepaspect.

Thanx. I'll try it. I normally don't use stretch, but these games had a ridiculously small screen size.

This didn't make any difference. For some reason The screengrabs That I make When using MESS turns out all black, but I have included a very fine piece of art to illustrate my problem.

The game screen is about this size when playing for example Batman the Movie. I get black borders around it.

I have battled against this issue as well when I used to stretch all my emus. After much tinkering I never was able to get it to fill the screen. Even now though that I switched to 4:3 aspect it still does not fill the screen. I don't know if it's a bug with MESS or the devs purposely have this driver do this for some reason. I don't know much about the GX4000.

Hi, I've been trying to run gx4000 using the mess core in Retroarch. You might have success with RA. However, I'm struggling to get the mess roms to run. Would you mind briefly explaining how you configured mess. Does the gx4000 need a bios for mess and if so what is it called. I have mess 158 set.

Thanks
