Atari 5200 - Help Needed Please

Hi Guys & Girls,

I am trying to set up the Atari 5200 and I am using Kat5200 to do so. I have the basics set up but I am a bit confused regarding the naming or placement of the rom files/bin files

For example

Astro Chase (USA).a52 is just one file so not a problem regarding that one

However

Blue Print has 7 files has two .a52 (Blue Print (USA).a52/Blue Print (USA) [b3].a52) file and then some .bin files such as [b1].bin, [b2].bin

I have been trying to Google the answer with not much results, so then I thought that I would ask the experts for any naming tips or what files I have to keep etc etc.

just use the .a52 files only should have no problems.

Yeah, that ^^^^.

Try getting a new rom set. Easier that way.

However, if you plan on using a bezel to preserve the screen ratio, Kat5200 won't work for you. It only gives you a small window. So it's either that or full screen strached.

I would use Mess for the 5200 (either mess itself or retroarch with the mess core) and setup Atari800 as an alternate emulator for the handfull of games that mess has trouble with.

= bad dumps, they are duplicate rom dumps. you can actually delete them.

you should use Rons renamer to rebuild your roms, this process only keeps the roms found in the XML.

I use a bezel with Kat. I think I set window to 3x in emulatotor then used fixresmode in module qbd then looks almost full screen bezel ...... I'll check when home later
