This seems to work well but i think as a time saving idea we have a multi task way of doing it so you can scan more then one system at a time like a txt file but with more then 1 box for each if i see any errors or bugs i will report them apart from that brilliant.

What was the problem? Also try 2.3b4 in the other (beta testing) thread.

Reason I ask is because if you see that message then there is a condition which the tool is not checking for. I would like to handle this error more gracefully. Any of these unchecked error conditions could crash the application. This would really suck for someone if it was occurring in the middle of a scan or rename.

Thanks.

actually i think it is an error, try the emerson arcadia 2001 xml file with your roms, it throws out that error i showed pics of in my last post.

my roms are not zipped by the way, they are .bin

i'm using 2.3b4

nice that you got the buttons to make a list, could you also add a button to make a list of the non CRC games?

I scanned one list and it said 5 roms have no crc so they will be excluded, would be nice to know which ones so we could still have the full set.

There is any way to rename the actual rom file. I´m trying to fix a huge amount CD based of rom´s.

I might be missing something, but that is the whole intent of this tool, is to rename the ROM files for you automagically. What system are you trying to rename?

EDIT: If you are using the tool, what version are you using? Please make sure you are using the latest version:

Just as a reference for everyone else. The latest build now has this integrated.

Hey emb, down the line, are you thinking of adding CD game support? Basically, automagically editing the content of the cue file to call for the renamed bin file. My PS1 set is f'ed and I don't feel like manually editing 1,000 games, nor do I completely understand how to use Kodiak's script.

It is on the back burner. I'll get to it one of these days.

I thought the PS1 HyperList doesn't have populated CRC tags yet?

Thanks for the quick reply. You're right, the current XML doesn't have CRC tags so it won't work with your tool after all, damn. I'll have to revisit Kodiak's script. :D

Great tool EBM, just trying it out for the first time. One question, I'm guessing that if the program comes back with roms missing, yet it's actually there and named correctly, works....that the crc is wrong? just ram the 7800 list and had a bunch come up as missing. thanks!
