Question about showcasing a hyperspin machine at arcade expo

The upcoming Louisville Arcade Expo is approaching soon. I have been asked by a few friends to showcase my set up at the local show. I was wondering if this was okay with the HS Gods to show off my work and to also promote Hyperspin in an unofficial way? If not this year, it will certainly be next years show that I would be doing this.

Does this break any type of user agreement? I will not, repeat WILL NOT be selling any hard drives, roms, programs or any of our art work, just a demo of what HS can do and printing off some flyers with web address to Hyperspin.

Other than the fact that you have a hard drive packed with thousands of illegally ripped games you didn't pay a dime for I see no problem with this.

Hopefully the copyright police won't be there (or representatives of the companies you ripped games from).

Also, not sure if bringing attention to our hobby is a good idea.

Solution: Do a second mini set up with only games you own, maybe just a few games and systems so it doesn't look overwhelming, but still can show off the awesome sauce.

Thoughts?

+1

Show off HS, maybe even all systems, but probably make only one system running with games that are known to be free (there were some mame games that are freely downloadable, correct me if I'm wrong)

on the other had:

Didn't Keltoigael try that when Upchurch ripped his intro videos off?

Also according to UpCunt and his invisible band of lawyers, it's quite OK to download Roms. So if says it's OK, why hide the hobby at all, come out of the closet Rom lovers.

but at your own risk of course
