mikea213 Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Wonder if anyone can help me here. I have sent hours looking and trying to figure out how to added systems under HyperLaunchHQ I have a bunch in there MAME N64 ect they have a icon next to me on the left and I can add my emulators to them no problem. There are a few like Gameboy advance or if I add a name the dont have the icon and they will not let me add a emulator to them. I add say RetroArch under global and then click on the name on the left and emulator and default emulator and its blank nothing will fill in. Any ideas? Thanks,
iNTiGOD Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 To add a system (e.g. a console or handheld) you need to use hyperhq not hyperlaunchhq. Hyperlaunchhq is only used to configure the launching of emulators for these systems. MAME High Score Tutorial For HyperSpin

I did that to add it. But then in HyperLaunchHQ I go to congfig it and that where I run into the issue
iNTiGOD Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Which emulator do you want to use for GBA? I use visual boy advance. Scroll up the top the the emulator list, choose global then click the emulators icon. Ensure hyperlaunchhq then knows where your emulator is. e.g. vbam MAME High Score Tutorial For HyperSpin
pinsanity Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Some of your system names are incorrect that is why the emulator is not showing up. They need to match the icon names in the HyperLaunch\HyperLaunchHQ\Media\Icons folder for the emulator to show up in the folder you have in your screenshot. Use this folder as your template guide when adding new systems. For example , all of the gameboy systems need Nintendo added to the front of them. If the icon shows up then the system name is right and the emulator will show up in the box automatically. Just remove those incorrectly named systems and add them again with Nintendo in front. refer to the icons folder in Hyperlaunch to make sure the names match. Sorry to be a downer, but it makes it so much easier to set up when the names are correct and uniform to what Hyperlaunch is looking for. It is just going to make it harder to set up as otherwise you will need to start editing modules to make them work. EDIT: The Neo Geos needs SNK added to the front of them as well.

brolly Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 To add a system (e.g. a console or handheld) you need to use hyperhq not hyperlaunchhq. You can add systems directly in HLHQ since a while now. Just remove those incorrectly named systems and add them again with Nintendo in front. refer to the icons folder in Hyperlaunch to make sure the names match. There's no need to remove and re-add any systems, just click the rename button in HLHQ and type the correct name.
