Icarus86 Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Hi all, I'm working on putting together my PS2 emulator and have read about using ISO.gz instead of just placing them in the folder as ISO. Just curious if anybody out there likes one program over another for converting these? All input is greatly appreciated!
gigapig Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 I was under the impression that 7z can create gz for PS2.
Icarus86 Posted April 5, 2015 Author Posted April 5, 2015 Ok I'll give 7zip a try for these. Thanks gigapig and jeremy0203!
Aorin Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 If you use Total Commander you can batch create all your Isos, Bin, etc at once to Gz, give it a shot if that's your case. Aorin
Icarus86 Posted April 6, 2015 Author Posted April 6, 2015 Hi aorin1 I'm not familiar with total commander, looked at some videos of it and it seems very useful for multipurpose stuff, is it worth trying to use with image files? I'll check it out and see what happens. Thanks!
Aorin Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Yeah for sure, actually I use Total Commander and I batch convert all Isos or Bins (PS2) to Gz quickly, you`ll want to use 7z and direct Total commander to its folder and all the process will finish without the need to compress each file at a time.
