hey everyone so i got my fba working and want to configure some controls to the emulator. but unlike others ive dealt with there is no clear drop down menu saying here here to configure controller. there is the input menu as in the pic (cap) but it only has a select input submenu which only goes to unclickable selections. there is also the options map game inputs but the option is unclickable and pressing f5 like it says does nothing. i do have my controllers installed correctly and ive done a bunch of other emulators before this one so if anyone knows how to do this one any advice appreciated.

I think you have to load a rom before that menu can be accessed, i may be wrong, been a while since i used FBA.

Yea, this. Load your rom first then go to inputs and map. Simple.

Hi Guys, sorry to ressurect this old post, but i just wanted to add information to help.

It seems that FBA (Final Burn Alpha) even in the latest version will not let you map keys until you load a game.

This means that you need to load every Game you have and map the controls separately.

Also don't forget to save after every map.

I have configured the controls for this Emulator years ago. The files for it are/was in my FTP folder..EoooDares.

However , other emulators are much better at emulating these systems. RetroArch even has keys already mapped and also can use FB Alpha as a core if you wanted.

If your stuck. There's a RetroArch guide in my signature
