I posted this in the support section over a week ago & not one comment or even view I believe so going to try again here after someone recommended this section: Brand new to Hyperspin, just in the stages of trying to customize things & set it all up. I have managed to get 90% or so of the themes I need for my roms, but I've been having some trouble trying to just use a simple image (say flyer or something) as a theme for the games I don't have. I was advised to make an XML file called theme.xml & write <theme> in the first column & </theme> in the second, save image I want to use to background.png & zip it. What's happening so far is I can see the image in backrgound when I go to game in wheel (not centered though), but dimmed out with a "XML error cancelling theme" message over it..If I move the wheel up though the image brightens to normal & message is gone...I've also tried to add a couple other images to the .zip & name them artwork1.png, artwork2.png, etc just to see what would happen & those didn't show up at all. I'm not trying to do anything fancy, no animations or anything & for the record I have zero photoshop skills..would just like to make simple substitute themes for games that don't have any & if not too diificult allow a video snap to show as well. damageinc86 Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 yeah just find a logo and flyer or something, bring it into hypertheme and save it named accordingly. If it's just for you to have something there instead of a blank theme, then it shouldn't take longer than 10 minutes to slap something simple together in hypertheme.
stevaside Posted April 27, 2015 Author Posted April 27, 2015 Thanks for all the advice...I remembered seeing Hypertheme mentioned somewhere once & didn't even realize it was bundled with the Hyperspin download. Going to try & figure it out & come up with some themes I need soon. Thanks again
