Hi,

Does anyone know how to setup 2+ emulators for the same system . I want to set up many emulators of pcsx2  but each one will have different settings within the emulator.

I did a quick google search however each time I find something and it keeps pointing to the old forums which redirects me to forums main page... very frustrating

Any help would be greatful

Thanks

Peter

The problem i see using more than one of the same emu is you need more than one AHK,

1st You would have to copy the PCSX2.ahk and rename it e.g. PCSX2NEW.ahk

2nd In HLHQ in GLOBAL/Emulators point the new PCSX2NEW.ahk you created to the different PCSX2 install/Dir,

3rd Select your PCSX2 Emu in HLHQ then Select Alternate Emulators, click the + and select your game you want for the different emu, Select Sony Playstation 2 as the System, then in Emulator select PCSX2NEW, Then when you launch that game it will use the other installed PCSX2.

I dunno if this would cause any conflicts... You'll probably see the yellow triangle and a message about duplicate id's, but i have one of these and it's not affecting anything so... ?

There maybe an easier way i dunno, apart from creating multiple wheels, then in HyperHQ you can set the path to the emu to use for each wheel...

There are a few settings in HLHQ you can change for each rom, So if you click on Sony Playstation 2, then select MODULES in the tab at the top, then select  the PCSX2.ahk, then click on Edit Global Module Settings, this opens another window in there you can select Rom Settings, then click the + and select your game you want to change settings for, then you can change which plugins etc it uses...

sorry tony but that is a problem you created.

you can use the same module for multiple copies of emulators.

I have multiple copies of the dolphin and visual pinball emulator

Dolphin --> set up for Wii

Dolphin --> set up for Gamecube

Dolphin --> Triforce

Visual Pinball 9.2.1, Visual Pinball 9.9.1,  Visual Pinball Physics 5

they are all running on their respective single module. I did not create more modues for the extra emulators.

All you have to do is  create a new Global Emulator entire and point to the same module.

All the different settings are saved in the emulator not in HLHQ, HyperHQ or Hyperspin.

32assassin,

Not sure I understand completely. You said you didn't create seperate modules, but the module names with .ahk are different?  I see the 2 matching Dolphin's, then the Triforce.

If I may ask, because that's my next system,  what settings per Wii and Camcube vary between teh two?

sorry,  the Dolphin Triforce has its own module, its not the same as the Dolphin module.

as you can see I do not  have the Dolphin Triforce emulator set up.

I have bat files, I launch (with the PClauncher)  for Mario GP, Mario GP2  and F-Zero GX

each of those games came with their own DolphinDX emulator and the bat files.

take a look at Guigapigs guides he does a better job of explaining why you need two emulators.
