woosdom
MAME is not working for me. it allows me to select it but then it just loops back to MAME system wheel. im not able to get to the list of roms wheel. any ideas why this is happening?
baddeolv
do you have a database installed?
reznnate
In addition to ensuring you have a MAME.xml database file in \databases\MAME\ folder, you also may have additional filters enabled in the MAME.ini. If you have the filters enabled (roms, wheels, themes) but have no files, you'll see no games listed in the wheel.
woosdom
I do have a database but I need to check for the filters. will do that ASAP. thanks well I packed my controller so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to test it. :/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
woosdom
MAME is working. filters disabled. Thanx still having issues with GBA and TG16 not showing up :/
reznnate
In the .ini, check the ROM path (gameboy Game Boy, Nintendo Game Boy) and rom extension.
woosdom
theyre good. ive tried many different things. no luck. it opens but no wheel names show up. and I still get the missing rom message. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
reznnate
If you can pick one game, let's focus on that first. Post parts of your .ini showing rompath, romext, filters, and exe/param lines. Is text listed in wheel showing game names? If not, dbase may be corrupt. What are filenames of related game media? What is full path and name of the rom? Which emulator are you using for game boy? syborfical
I can launch hyper spin select Mame then the HS logo shows up but no roms. Did the same install / process on another machine it works fine. So no idea the only difference is in the update of rocket launcher

reznnate
Which MAME emulator are you using? MAME Reloaded? Retroarch? Is the wheel working on PC but not on Android? Common issues can be mixed up naming between wheel name is 'main menu' dbase, media folder, and rom name path as it relates to filtering by roms. viper360
Yes my mame works on pc but not android. iv downloaded all emulators in retroarch for android. When i posted my last message last night i checked where my ini was searching for my mame directory and it looked like it check ok i also check theat the names of files listed in the ini and also that checked out ok. Ill check out what i can do with what you have described tonight when i finished work. Thanks for your help mate ill keep you posted
reznnate
Mamereloaded works well IF you have u139.1 romset and they are .zip files (it does not support .7z) Retroarch MAME core is GIT so would be 169 roms? MAME2014 core (broken on nightly builds atm) :-( uses ~v159 rom set (and does support .7z) MAME2003 core is ~v78.
DOYOUEVENFADC
Make sure hyperhq has the right rom types like zip,7z and others or they wont show in hyperspin.
reznnate
As stated above, (I don't use hyperhq for Android) but you do want to make sure you've got the .zip/.7z ROM extension right in the mame.ini settings file.
viper360
Sorry for not replying sooner Ok i had a play about for a while and still cant get hyperspin to find MAME what so ever. my roms are in zip file but havent moved them over yet as i will be deleting some systems what i wont be using on my tab for more space.iv got all artwork/video my only thought is that my mame is categorised sport/fighting/racing/ect but i do have a exe file with all my roms names in with that and same with video content but i allso have all my vids single in with the video folder so dont think that would make a difference. Ill have another play about with it in the morning when i get chance and go through what iv got
