Backglass Previews

I got the directB2S backglasses working but I had to turn off the use backglass setting in Hyperpin to keep it from conflicting with the served up backglass. Is there a way to set it up so that HyperPin only displays the backglass while previewing tables and then lets VP display the backglass when the table is executed?

You can record the backglass and use video for the backglass image in HyperPin.

it works, you can have video previews for the back glass too

however getting the file format (and container) and encoding right isn't easy.

any tips from those who've done this already?

I've recently had some success with this using Snagit to capture the video, it saves to mp4 which can simply be renamed .f4v

But I think it were all FP tables and no VP tables.

That will make no difference for an animated BG, but will it be possible to make an animated DMD for a real DMD while browsing thrue the tables?

Or....just add an option flag in Hyperpin so the backglass only displays in Preview.

Many thanks for posting those videos that is exactly what I was looking for. I have playfield videos, backglass videos, and now I just need to figure out what to do with my PinDMD2/DMD.

I know a lot of work goes into adding the audio track to a playfield video, but does anyone have any to share?
