  2. Look nice as always Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Any chance you or anyone else can post a few pics with thence settings? Would enjoy seeing what they are looking like nowadays. Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Always looking for some more HLSL settings to try. Are you going to post your latest so we can see?
  5. Can you explain how you did this or even share it? I know sharing of ROMs is not allowed but this is not a real ROM it sounds more like a place holder of sorts. Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. They seem to always be getting better. I don't think they will ever be perfect or exactly the same but I think they look pretty amazing. Much better than stock settings. I think they have come a long way. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Would you post the file contents in here so we can all try your GLSL settings. I think they look really good. Thanks
  8. How do you get MAME to run it without a rom? What would the command be? Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Can you post a screen shot showing your "jaggies" ? This way we can compare to our own and see if it is the same or different. Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Has anyone tried out MAME .163 yet? Just released last week. Doesn't look like much change to HLSL other than some tweaking of the vignetting settings by Jezze. From the mamedev.org readme file -Changed vignetting simulation [ImJezze] * removed screen ratio influence * changed radius, blur and intensity * fixed roundness of rounded corners; the default aspect ratio of 4:3 should not be stretched anymore when the source has another ratio * disabled blurring of rounded corners * some cleanup * something was messed up on the last commit
  11. Hoping to see your settings soon Metalzoic. The fact that you are working with a Neo-Geo cabinet right next to it should be interesting to see. I always enjoy testing out new HLSL settings. With the recent enhancements they keep getting better looking. Different games used different monitors of which some had more prevalent scan lines. Being that the games are so old they may not even have the original monitor in them. I keep playing around with HLSL and also GLSL and they both keep getting better. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. I like to use Fraps. It can be used to capture video, take screen shots and also do benchmarking. It's a free download and you can use it to eaily take full screen pictures. http://www.fraps.com/download.php The free version only lets you take .bmp screen shots, but they can be converted to png for uploading.
  13. You can get curved 3d beveled edges in HLSL as well. With the new settings in 162 they have incorporated Jezze's work and you can adjust the amout of curvature, corner roundness, reflection and vignetting all in mame.ini Griffin518's settings has most of those turned on, maybe he can post a picture. Gigapig's video must just have them truned down.
  14. I will give these a try. Using a similar aged computer but on a 20" 4:3 monitor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I am not familiar with your video card but you may want to check some MAME settings first. Unlike the rest of MAME HLSL actually uses the video card to do a lot of work. But settings are important. I would check your sync refresh setting. Usually having set to 1 is better. Also check your prescale settings in the HLSL section. A setting of 0 is auto but isn't always the best way to go. You may want to try a setting or 2 or 3 for both the x and y. This prescales the image and can mean less work for the GPU. You might want to give that a try first. Another consideration is the resolution you are running HLSL at. You can test in a window or full screen at lower resolutions.
