  1. Thanks for checking it out! Glad it has a warm reception here. This site never disappoints. Jumpstile - I finally have the Aimtraks working with recoil. Well... One gun recoils everytime. The other, not so much lol
  2. Looks cool. What size is the TV in the marquee?
  3. Yes, there are black bars at the top and bottom on 4:3 games, maybe 2 inches on either end... I guess it would depend on your TV how noticeable they are. They do not stand out to me on an LED (below is the one I purchased). I believe the others who have done this are using Plasma TV's, so that would be an even deeper black. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sharp-50-class-49-1-2-diag--led-1080p-hdtv-black/5420114.p
  4. Thanks! There are only two others that I've seen over at BYOAC. It was so easy to do and well worth it, I had to jump on the idea!
  5. I just finished up this project and wanted to share the progress. It breaks some of the rules of traditional arcade building. Overall, I'm very happy with how it turned out! The 50" vertical screen makes a huge difference for playable real estate.
  6. From what I've read, since the resolution is 1080x1080, a full screen game only creates a full 4:3 screen. I think if it were 1920x1080 that may create a problem. If I'm wrong, let me know because I'm thinking about doing it lol
  7. Very nice! This style is starting to show up over at BYOAC for non-vertical games as well. Just curious, how did you include the Marquee at the top of the screen? http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,141437.0.html http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,139647.0.html
  8. I notice they show a vertical game like pac man having vertical scan lines. Wouldn't this have horizontal scan lines when playing pac man on a regularly mounted TV?
  9. I'm doing a lot of research on building a control panel and I have 101 question. What thicknesses of MDF, Lexon and Tmolding are generally used? I did not want the lexon to to stick above the tmolding. Thanks TJ
  10. How did you get the controls to show up on the second screen?

  12. haha! Ouch on the CRAP MAME! That is exactly what I'm looking to avoid. I know if laid out properly, it can be a decent setup. I'm looking for something like this but I would like to do 2 players. http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-Player-Custom-Video-Arcade-Control-Panel-MAME-TM-/331127909948?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d18c2ee3c
  13. Looking for images of all-in-one control panels. Spinners, steering wheels, fight stick, an ultra-panel. I'm not finding much image wise. Post your favorites!
