Hi thanks a lot for this pack :-) I have it running in my win7.

But i have a question, how i can hide the task bar? i tried with the Rockecklauncher UI -> main settings -> desktop ->hide taskbar, desktop, etc...

But when i start the game always i have the task bar.

Thanks a lot.

And party on!!

Thanks for this massive update. Awesome!

Everytime I run a game, my ini file gets overwritten with a default one. My settings are removed. I have to write protect it to make it work.

What does the XarcadeStick2 settings do? It doesn't seem to do anything for me.

The idea that I had about two sticks was that all games that have up and down buttons on the left and right side (For example Mario Bros. and Frog Boaster) could be controlled by different sticks by just moving them up and down. Maby a setting in the ini where you can choose if you want to use one or two sticks.

Edit: I found a couple of issues:

The shoot buttons don't work in Hippo Teeth (Large).

In "Egg". Even though it doesn't affect gameplay, The buttons indicate that when I push:

Up & left - both "up" buttons are pushed.

Down & left - both left buttons are pushed.

Down & Right - Up left and down right buttons are pushed.

Also, there should be a sports.xml.

Sorry for nagging  ;)

Hi , i've compiled a new executable that may solved most of errors :

04/18/2016 - Fixed --> Arcade Tankstick Buttons mapped for Left Alt & Left Control.

04/18/2016 - Fixed --> Arcade TankStick controls for game "Egg".

04/17/2016 - Fixed --> Bug for Ini file.

Be carrefull this executable use new variables name for arcade tankstick buttons defined on hyperelectronicgames.ini ex: Button1Xarcade become ButtonXarcade1,Button2Xarcade become ButtonXarcade2,etc...

(Ini have to been updated by launching executable)

Yes , a sports databases for electronic games will be added for next updated package. :whistling:

here the link for this executable (0.9.7.1):

https://mega.nz/#!PVQllD5R!fj6zAZtAHAh_iwSvJwSEvHdMCx5lXkyiLsaFbN46LTs

kreator:

Rocketlauncher is not used by this emulator.

if you can see windows taskbar during emulation, perhaps the best way to hide it  will be to hide it on windows 7 parameters.

Is the mame artwork working for you guys? i get a black background in alien attack.

Also, mame emulates the tamagotchi, so there is no need for that other simulation.

Yeah, same here. Mame says " The machine requires external artwork." On all that I´ve tested so far.

The artwork folder is included in the Mame folder, though. Messing around with the ini now...

Hi  ,maybe mame directory need the mame.ini file to run correctly for some people...

download it & tell me if it solve the artworks problem  :

https://mega.nz/#!CBIBzICa!1Y9Buu1gxhM8i73iGmRJnWC3k980fA86pdJRM8afDOY

put this mame.ini file inside same folder as mame.exe (...\Electronic Games\Mame\)

spotUP:

For the moment i've only added the mame hanheld games that have an official artwork. I think that the mame version of Tamagotchi (not included inside package) is less beautifull than the executable inside package (because of no artworks)

There is some others games emulated by mame that are already existing as simple executable inside package with a best quality.

I've change xml for those "mame clones" & added to description "(mame version)" . So if you prefer see the best emulation for a game just set in hyperHQ "parent only".

Thanks for looking into it, r0man0.

But it still isn't working. With the mame.ini, I mean. Tried various things in the ui.ini too, but nothing.  :confused:

Hi , try to edit mame.ini on part # CORE SEARCH PATH OPTIONS

add to the end of artwork your artwork full path like this :

artpath                   artwork;D:\Hyperspin\Emulators\Electronic Games\Mame\artwork

don't forget the ";" between "artwork" and your full path

Still nothing. Tested Alien Attack, Alien Chase and Crazy Climber.

OK. Back up. I'm confused here.

I thought that the message about "The machine requires external artwork" was an error message, but I see now that it's

rather a warning message.

As I thought it was an error, I was expecting something to be missing, so I looked at the pics of Crazy Climber and thought that the artwork was

about  "bezels", in that case some skyscrapers, but I see now the artwork is about the game itself.

So all is actually working as it should.

Sorry about the misunderstanding... :pardon:

I tried the new version and it seems solid. Thanks. The Second stick actually does work. Just not with the game I tested, which was Mario Bros.

I think I actually made a mistake requesting two sticks control for most of the games. I just tried Egg and it doesn't really make much sense to use two sticks since you're just controlling one character. The only game I can think of that it would make sense using two sticks is Mario Bros. since you're controlling two characters in that game. What I would like to see is a setting in the ini that says something like "UseTwoSticksforMarioBros=", and if you choose to use it you will control the game using up and down on both sticks. Not up-right, down-right and so on. If you choose to not use two sticks in the ini, you will control the game like the others. What do you think?

Edit: It does not affect gameplay, but if I press up-left or down-left in Egg, both left buttons are pushed. The rest of the controls are fixed.

Great as always. I have a request. I would like to see a setting that disables the "LaunchOnStartExecutable" when you run a MAME game. It messes things up for me. Thanks.

I am using win7 just because of this thank you for updating.

Still have no time to go thru but soon.

I don't remember why is Mame involved in this set ?

Well , if you explain exactly what are things that messes up for you , maybe i will be able to find an issue , for example do you need also to disable launch on exit ?

I think that programm works on windows 10 also

Mame is added to this package because of lot of handheld games playables (57)

(there is only these roms & artworks added with the mame executable)

Should I start from zero or replace the files only? my version seems quite old.

My problem is that MAME does not work with AHK key remaps. So for example my T and Y keys does nothing att all while running MAME. It's not just that the remaps aren't working. The keys aren't working at all.

http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/26981-why-wont-this-ahk-script-work/

I'm running "HyperElectronicAHK.exe" as LaunchOnStartExecutable. and that exe is a compiled AHK key remap script:

t::9
y::8
U::7
b::6
a:
s::-
q::-
w::-
e::-
z::-
x::-
c::-
v::-
l::-
o::-
h::-
j::-
k::-

If I don't do these remappings, my arcade buttons will trigger stuff that I don't want them to since many of them are the keys that the games uses.

Here's my ini:

[General]
JoyNumber=0
Joy2Key=0
Azerty=0
800X600Only=0
DoubleButtonForExit1=
DoubleButtonForExit2=
ExitKey=+m
LaunchOnStartExecutable=E:\RocketLauncher\Emulators\Electronic Games\HyperElectronicAHK.exe
LaunchOnStartParameters=
LaunchOnExitExecutable=E:\RocketLauncher\Emulators\Electronic Games\HyperElectronicExit.exe
LaunchOnExitParameters=

[XArcadeTankstick]
EnableXarcade=1
UpXarcadeStick1=
DownXarcadeStick1=
LeftXarcadeStick1=
RightXarcadeStick1=
UpXarcadeStick2=r
DownXarcadeStick2=f
LeftXarcadeStick2=d
RightXarcadeStick2=g
ButtonXarcade1=9
ButtonXarcade2=8
ButtonXarcade3=7
ButtonXarcade4=6
ButtonXarcadeSelect=m
ButtonXarcadeStart=Return

So, if I could just disable those remaps while running a mame game, either by making the AHK script from that other thread work or disable it in a setting. All would be perfect.

Ok ,  for mame and with an Arcade Tankstick you have to setup all the games manually i've explain that inside read-me :

For controllers like arcade Tanksticks you have to change mame controls
To do that you have to set up controls parameters on mame :
--Right-click on default.cfg file properties  on ELECTRONIC-GAMES\Mame\cfg\
  directory then uncheck "read-only"
--Launch ELECTRONIC-GAMES\Mame\mame.exe from windows then select on menu
  "configure options" then "general inputs" then "players 1 controls"
--Setup fields "Up","Down","Left","Right","Button1","Button1","Button1",
  "Button1","Select","Start" then come back to menu by pressing 2 times esc.
--Choose "save configuration then "exit".
--Make a test under hyperspin , if all is ok , re-check "read-only" for
  default.cfg file to prevent errors.
(if you have already set up a mame , mameui ... you can copy and replace the
default.cfg file with yours)

But i've added an option : here's a new executable :

https://mega.nz/#!OQ4jUIRY!LyzF8L0vFckg63QH6YxLWnqQ3o9djLal9ZtYt_d4swI

you have to copy and replace your existing executable with that one , then run it , that will create a new line on hyperelectronicgames.ini , open ini file and set DisableLaunchOnForMame to 1

Tell me if your problem is solved :turned:

Thank you. This will fix my problem. I do know how MAME works, I've been using it for 20 years :) But since MAME does not register keypresses at all when using AHK remaps, It's impossible to set it up. I will report back.

Edit: Sorry, 19 years :)

OK. The new option worked as it was supposed to. I can now use T and Y (Buttons one and two on my controller). However, I can't map my Start and Select keys in MAME (Enter and M). If I Alt-Tab out of MAME and test my keys, Enter and M types P and S. All other keys types their normal letters. I don't understand this. I have remapped many keys in the ini but it's still just Startt and Select that is acting up. I guess you would need to completely remove all internal remaps for this to work, but then my exit key would stop working. This is quite a dilemma.

I tried replacing my Start and Select keys in the ini and then I could assign ENTER and M in MAME.
