Styphelus Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 So I finally updated to the new Retroarch 1.2.2 and everything is working fine except for the shaders. Where is the option to set the shaders now? I can't find it!
trebukenz Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 'Quick Menu' appears on the main menu once you have selected content and or a core. Shaders is in that sub-menu.
Styphelus Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 Thanks! Holly man...I wouldn't have figured that one out. Who's the genius who came up with that idea? Yeah, lets hide it in a quick menu inside another menu that only pops up when you load a game and press F1 from within it!!!! Edit:. They also removed crt-geom-flat.cg from the shaders. Lucky for me I still had my old one.
shitoken Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 There is a shortcut on keyboard to switch the shaders cant remember now ..
Awakened Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Edit:. They also removed crt-geom-flat.cg from the shaders. Lucky for me I still had my old one. That's been gone for quite awhile. There's no reason to hold onto it; they removed it because you can use crt-geom.cg and turn off curvature in the shader's parameters. Just open the .cg in a text editor and change the first number after "CRTGeom Curvature Toggle" to 0.0.
newoski Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Bummer that CGWG's LCD handheld shader no longer works with NVIDIA hardware...
Styphelus Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 How do I disable the new menu? Trying to get a custom video ratio but I can't see the game window because the stupid new menu blocks it.
Awakened Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 No one knows how to turn off the new gui? Change the menu driver to rgui and restart RetroArch. Alternatively, you could change the background image located in assets\xmb\monochrome\png\bg.png to something with transparency. That way you can use the xmb menu and still see games running behind it. I like this simple semi transparent black background: http://i.imgur.com/0sRKDYn.png
trebukenz Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 No one knows how to turn off the new gui? If you copy your system specific config files from the previous version to the new, the GUI will appear as the old one with that config loaded. At least it does when launched through RocketLauncher.

I noticed that and was trying to compare config files between the old and new so I can make the appropriate change on my new config files but there are so many settings. I couldn't find the right one.
justice999 Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 menu_driver = "xmb" You need to change this line. I would recomend you to use Notepad++ with the plugin Compare in order to compare 2 files. You can also batch replace menu_driver if you open many config files. That's what I did when I upgraded to the last version. @Awakened Thanks! This background is was I was missing!
