Default Video

Hey guys and gals, not sure where to ask this question so i thought I would start in this section.  I have been looking for an answer to this but I don't think anyone has asked this question so here it is;

Is there a way to set a default video for a system so that when the game on your wheel has no video associated with it it will play the default video instead of seeing the black screen that tells you to download the snap from emu movies?  Obviously there are many games that have no videos for them and if not I would like it to play a system video instead of seeing that black screen.

Well thanks for any help.

Sure just replace the default video that tells you to download movies from emumovies with one of your own choosing.

If I remember right it's in the default video folder under media in the Front End folder. (or somewhere near there)

great that works however i was wondering if i could have a different default video for each system?  the one you mentioned is for all systems.

Yes, it'll be in the hyperspin/media/front end/videos folder. Should be called "no video" or "no intro" or something like that. I'm away from home right now, let me know if you don't find it. The only problem with this is that it's a single video for the entire install, not just per-system.

Yes that does seem quite hard as well as defeating the purpose of having one system default video per system.  Its interesting how default themes work exactly the way i would like the default video to work.. well too bad.  maybe in the next release.

This is exactly the method I used. I created a video of old CRT tv static to play for about a full minute.
