juicelee Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 can anyone help me with this problem i am having in RetroArch Master v1.7z. i downloaded it from simply austin from his youtube channel. the graphics (textures ie cloulds ,marios eyes ,trees etc)are very pixelated on the n64 games thanks
SkyHighGam3r Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 I'm intrigued by this question as well. I setup that exact same tutorial last night (maybe the other night, I don't know anymore lol) and N64 was like second on my list to get setup tonight.I find RetroArch confusing (when compared to say fusion, or project64), but amazingly unified.I will try and set it up tonight when I get home, maybe I'll run into the same problem and see what I can find out.One thing I had wondered, and perhaps this is a potential culprit. Is updates... how do you update the program? Doing a search on google sends me to a non-existant download on their homepage lolPerhaps SimplyAustin can shed some light on these questions for us.
juicelee Posted September 2, 2015 Author Posted September 2, 2015 same here mate no problem setting up other emulators, retro is a bit of a deep one , i would also like to know how to update it , i have attacked austin but know doubt he is getting attack by loads of people at once, i gonna try reinstall it and see what happen thanks for the reply

Shermo Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Google retroarch nightly builds cores and files are separated if you only want to update one or other. Cores can also be updated with retroarch.exe just go to online updater 3-4th line down.

A lot of us are using a pre-configured one that was provided by SimplyAustin.
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Just on Lucille at the moment guys so can't really help too much. For now my only advice is turn the shaders and vsync off. N64 is not a 100% comparable emulator but games such as Mario 64 should be perfect. If that fails change to another n64 core... I think there's 2? Muoen and another?? Then if that dies not work next step I'd the plugin. There's a lot of system specific stuff you need for the N64 emulation.... Hehe Simply Austin's YouTube
SkyHighGam3r Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Well, I set it up and launched Super Mario 64 last night, no problems what-so-ever. I even upped the shader to the hq2x. (There's so many shaders, I wonder if there is a comparison somewhere)I'd have to say try SimplyAustin's suggestions of the Core and/or plugin changes.
