Rotgut Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Not sure what I am doing wrong - - - I followed a YouTube tutorial to the letter and I am still not seeing the bezel show up for Game Boy Advance. Austin... I am using your bezel (the png image and the ini file) from the ftp site. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I went into HyperLaunchHQ and set everything up according to this tutorial: Maybe I am naming something incorrectly...? Help...? For god's sakes...? LOL
Rotgut Posted September 10, 2015 Author Posted September 10, 2015 I guess no one has a f**k to give...
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Mate, you posted that at 1am my time, it's now 7am. You have to give people time to help as this ain't a job. However.... What setup are you using, hyperlaunch or rocketlauncher? Simply Austin's YouTube
gigapig Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Does the bezel your using for GBA have the accompanying ini file and have you placed it in the right location? You can also ask for help on my Youtube Channel (or Austins, ) and I would have replied after waking up, taking a piss, having a coffee and then answering you naked at either my PC or on my phone
gigapig Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Path for your artwork should be ":\RocketLauncher\Media\Bezels\Nintendo Game Boy Advance\_Default" If your not using RetroArch (I see in other posts you have mentioned you can't get it working) tell us the Emu your using and I/we will test it.

I was a bit sauced last night, sorry for the rudeness. I watched your new vid, Austin... nice! Thanks for that. So here is my path: C:\Program Files\HyperSpin\HyperLaunchHQ\Media\Bezels\Nintendo Game Boy Advance\_Default Inside that _Default folder are the three files from Austin: Bezel - 16x9 Nintendo Gameboy Advance (Austin585).ini Bezel - 16x9 Nintendo Gameboy Advance (Austin585).png Thumbs.db The emulator I am running: VisualBoyAdvance-M I am able to get a fade going (finally) but no matter what game I run, no bezel shows up at all. I have "Bezel Enabled" set to true in HyperLaunchHQ Again, I did grab the three files from Austin's Mega download, off the YouTube vid. I'm at a loss. Any thoughts/advice?
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Not used that emulator in a long time mate. The bezel should show no problem. But you may be better of using a generic bezel such as gigas. The one included in my pack is intended for RetroArch as you can choose your own screen in that. But either way I am sure it should have shown if it was set up correctly. Simply Austin's YouTube
gigapig Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Unless that is a typo your path is wrong. Bezel go in the HyperLaunch\media folder not the HyperLaunchHQ\media folder.
gigapig Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Tested Visualboyadvanced M with bezels, all fine.
Rotgut Posted September 12, 2015 Author Posted September 12, 2015 Unless that is a typo your path is wrong. Bezel go in the HyperLaunch\media folder not the HyperLaunchHQ\media folder. The only folder I have with the name HyperLaunch is a HyperLaunchHQ folder inside my HyperSpin folder. I changed the name to HyperLaunch to see if that was the issue but it didn't make any difference.Anyway, here is a screen grab of what I have going on, maybe you can spot something I am not doing correctly?
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 You changed the name of the Hyperspin folder to hyperlaunch? If that's true, I doubt anything would work mate. Okay, well your folder path is different than the one someone else had shown me... I will try that and let you know. Thank you, Austin!

I just don't get it. I've done everything, not sure what else is left to try.
gigapig Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 It doesn't work and probably never will because your install is very wrong. HyperLaunch or RocketLauncher and the media files related to HyperLaunch/RocketLauncher need to be separate from HyperSpin media. So you need to fix the folder structure and make sure HyperLaunch/ RocketLauncher is in it's own folder. Perhaps you can download RL and install it and move over the required files.

I followed Austin's path exactly (stated above)... that's the reason I changed it... to follow what he wrote. I will follow your advice and see if that does the trick. Thank you : )
gigapig Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Did you try ...Hyperspin\Media\Game Boy Advance\Bezels\Nintendo Game Boy Advance\_Default
Rotgut Posted September 12, 2015 Author Posted September 12, 2015 Did you try ...Hyperspin\Media\Game Boy Advance\Bezels\Nintendo Game Boy Advance\_Default No... but I will! Crossing my fingers! I'll let you know what happens...
Rotgut Posted September 12, 2015 Author Posted September 12, 2015 Did you try ...Hyperspin\Media\Game Boy Advance\Bezels\Nintendo Game Boy Advance\_Default Hey, Gigapig - is the "-Default" you typed there a folder name and THEN the files go in there? Or is that the name of the bezel file (png) itself? And then the bezel ini file has to go in there too, right?
Rotgut Posted September 13, 2015 Author Posted September 13, 2015 I wanted to let you know that I finally managed to get the Bezel to show up. Thank you for all of the help that you guys gave me. You guys are awesome, thank you again.
Rotgut Posted September 13, 2015 Author Posted September 13, 2015 Could you divulge the solution? I will copy > paste the path here tonight. I'm not at my computer right now.
Rotgut Posted September 13, 2015 Author Posted September 13, 2015 This was/is the path C:\Program Files\HyperSpin\Media\Bezels\Nintendo Game Boy Advance In there I have a _Default folder with the default bezel files... and now I am making custom bezels for specific games and adding those as well.
griffin518 Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Looks like you have the HyperLaunch and HyperSpin folders merged, which, to Gig's point, is quite messy. Glad you got it working, but I hope it won't cause issues for you later.
