Metalzoic Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Thanks Agent! All your tips pointed me in the right direction. It's now working with one BAT for DOOM and another for DOOM 2. Should be able to launch those through PCLauncher from my wheel now. That path was just to unweildly so I re-organized the folder structure and also dropped the WADs into their own folders preventing a dialogue box asking me which to use. Cleaned up path and the quotes, and the CMD prompt testing all worked. Thanks again man! I've been wanting this from the wheel for months now. KlopjerO Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Just tested it again on my system using various roms, varying number of pk3's, various pk3's, and they all work for me. If you haven't already, try running the syntax the module produces directly from a command prompt to see if it runs there. Feel free to post the syntax here as well so I can compare it to mine and try to get this sorted out. Glad you got it working! The syntax is correct, it launches from command prompt with no problem, load up nicely however when I run it through rocketlauncher it looks like it's looks like the load time is cut short or something. When i launch through command line GZdoom will launch, and start loading the content it was told to. through rocketlauncher it launches.. and loads doom and the wad it was supposed to but not the additional PK3's I had specified. Typing this and reading through the comments, I deduce that your gzdoom.ini must be "clean" meaning that preconfigured roms are not present in your setup. I made one for Doom & one for Doom 2 as I launch the WADS as separate games. Can you set your logging in RLUI to troubleshooting, run a game, and post the log here in code tags or PM it to me? That way I can see if there's anything going on which could be causing the issue or the faster load time you mentioned.I will.. I used a different background though and I place the ID logo on the wall in the left corner Nice. I stole the video frame in mine from another theme, was it yours? The background, wall etc... in mine are all just taken from the same piece of art as the characters. I just chopped the painting up and re-positioned it and had to clone-stamp-redraw huge sections.

I think the border is from the theme by DRmoney. and I used the same piece of artwork but I used Drmoneys background. I don't remember exactly, but this topic is what got it working perfectly for me. I used ZDL to originally launch Brutal Doom with Project Brutality and the mods I wanted. Used that command line it generates to build a .bat file that I could then launch using the PCLauncher module in RocketLauncher (so it launches like any PC game would). That's all I had when I jumped into this thread, so I say you start reading at the first post and follow the steps and tips from there. Check my back/forth posts as those are what got it working for me.
