3DO - "insert disk screen" -------- Turbografx CD red audit game list

Ive got most of my wanted systems setup in rocketlauncher using retroarch , but just cant figure 3do, and turbografx CD out and been at it for days.

 

I got a hyperspin ready tg CD set and a HS ready 3do set.

 

The TG-CD games list shows up red in a audit , the 3do games just go to "insert disk" screen and the only info Ive found on this is that the iso,cue extension orders need to be changed but cant figure out if they mean in the folder/zips or if I set to look for iso/cue first in some settings somewhere in rocketlauncher or something.

 

My 3do game list shows up in green with an audit, ive tried putting another 3do bios in the system folder, even unzipped a game, renamed, rezipped just to test.

Its driving me crazy.

 

Any help is appreciated with either system

I've been there.

Yes that's right iso needs to be first in the list under the global emulator or create an alternative emulator and just have iso in that list again using RetroArch.

 

Your biggest problem whoever and what is causing the insert disc screen is the ROM set. The only one that works is the Tosec set which is around, I picked it up from PD.

That set is not complete however and I'm not sure if it's hosted somewhere else. I'll double check mine anday consider uploading it somewhere.

 

Your other alternative is of course to use FourDO.

Out of desperation I tried unzipping a game and deleting the cue, then renamed the iso properly....rezip with 7z and it worked.

Not sure what to do with the games that have a ccd,cue,sub,and img file.

On those types if I delete the ccd,cue and sub ....will the img file run in retroarch or it must be an iso?

Pretty sure RA only accepts iso, you can of course go through the process of conversion.

 

With TG CD showing in red, again make sure the extension is correct under the global emulator or your games are named correctly.

Had the same issue with RA.

Used 4DO instead and it works fine. RA uses the 4DO core anyway.

Use 4DO instead of Retroarch for 3DO. Some 3DO games like Wing Commander have multiple disks and as far as I know Retroarch still doesn't support disk swapping so you won't be able to play multidisk games.

Yeah, i used fourdo for it this weekend and all is working. I wanted to use retroarch so I could use different shaders but fourdo has a filter (cant remember name) that looks decent so will stick with fourdo for now
