Scared to update

Hey guys

I have not updated rl in couple months. I always hit no when it asks. Then I seem Austin posted a warning about updating as there was issues with fade? Seems every time I update something stops working. Should I be worried? I always think it will improve things but It seems to cause me headaches... In the past....

Grant it I spent a few weeks checking each system but still. All worked fine. So many more features it's worth it. I will say the ONLY thing that doesn't work is bios within hyperspeech.

Do it If you get any issues post either here or on the RL forums. We will get you sorted.

He already has rl not upgrading to it

Not that helpful to be fair. Upgrading to the latest RL from an earlier version will bring features and fixes.

Not sure why you would be scared. Noone is gonna break into your house and murder you for upgrading

Copy your rl elsewhere if you want a backup.

There was no issue with fade. There was really no issue at all, just a couple settings that had to be defined that many people didn't bother going to the site and actually looking at the update thread which told them what to do.

Any issues you come across they are quick to smash anyways. Rl isn't like hs where you will have to live with bugs for years.

Likely because he's spent quite a few hours getting it to where it is.

So I auto updated the RL files and followed Austins warning on setting up the new settings. Just testing now. One weird thing I noticed is when FADE is on, there is a loud click before the progress bar moves? what are the new features?.. and now I am getting the old "There was an error in detecting when PCSX2 finished loading your game." after HS loads a PS2 game fine and i exit.. I thought this was fixed?? anyone? Once again the update messed things up.

Not sure what your asking me.

 

I updated. and I am having some old issues again, so far, I noticed the PS2 error as above.  It has been on RL forums many times and i am trying to understand why i am getting the error. They said on the forums the module was fixed and use any newer GIT.. I did.. I get the error.

11/05 seems to work! but newer ones did not..

You can just here the screams of horror as that update window pops up, perhaps yours says "I Know What You Did Last Summer"

 

Back up before updating and always read the RocketLauncher forums, although that didn't help this time for early updaters. all good now though.

hahaha sorry... but yeah dont worry about updates mate.  However like I always say, if it aint broke... dont fix it.  If you need to make changes, back it up and look at the site its involved with to see if theres been any news on it.

I took the plunge and testing now. I still have issue with pcsx2 on exit it flashes window mode. I have tried fade out, bezels and hide emulator settings. The bezel trick with black screen worked but then stopped. Bezel would be ontop while emu ran behind.

The community here has been amazing!!! Th support has been great and Austin your help is major reason why I made it so far!
