Creating a Nintendo Mario Wheel

Hi guys,

 

I started to work on a dedicated Nintendo Mario wheel for all the games where Mario is part of the game (Main character OR just part of the game). It will be a HS wheel which will show all the games from 1982 till now (Computers/Consoles/Nintendo ones & not Nintendo ones).

 

Planning:

• Collecting offical games (started)
• Collecting clones & homebrew (if there are any?)
• Making Nintendo Mario Database XML
• Making/Collecting Hyperspin Wheel Art Mario
• Making Default Main theme (1 HS Mario theme and 1 HS Chicuelo theme)
• Making Default Game theme  (1 HS default Mario game theme and 1 HS default Chicuelo theme) 

Rules for publishing on wheel:

• Arcade versions always on Wheel
• Nintendo consoles are always fist pick on wheel
• NES will be picked before (Disk) Famicom, SNES will be picked before Super Famicom)
• Only latest handheld version on wheel for each game (all handhelds)

Example: Donkey Kong (see attached sheet)

 

On the wheel are the following versions: Arcade 1981, NES 1986, Gameboy Adavanced 2004

 

All other version will be also on the wheel and artwork will be present BUT these versions will be disabled (HS1.4) on the wheel. So if needed you can enable your favorite version.

 

 

 

For now i have seached the net and hopefully collected all the Mario games that where released since 1982. Gamecube will be the last console that will be added on my old machine. It cannot emulate a Wii fast enough BUT i will try to collect the artwork and create DB entries for it.

 

I think i'm complete when talking about published games now BUT i'm not 100% sure so i need help  ;-) If possible could you check the attached excel sheet for completeness? Any help or info is welcome to complete this wheel which will be placed on thsi site when ready.

Use hyperxmlspin. Romano is about to release a new version I tested, it's great. It does all this automatically. Get the one posted in the mean time to get use to it

Thnx for pointing out this tool :-)

This will help for sure but first i need to know if my games list is complete...  Point 1 & 2 need to be complete to make a minted wheel.
