Hi All,

Im new to Hyperspin so I only know bits.

My Q&A is whats the best n64 emulator to use as iv try some and they dont work or you have to unzip the roms to play, is there one that you wont have to unzip the roms??

Many Thanks to you all :-)

Most N64 emulators will expect an uncompressed file. N64 files are small so it should be easy to unzip them (and leave them that way) or have RL (RocketLauncher) temporarily unzip them quickly before presenting them to the emulator and then delete the unzipped copy once you exit the emulator. If you want to use them zipped just highlight N64 in RL and then click the "Settings"-->"7z"-->"Enable" option to "true".

gonna have to give RetroArch another try.... I still use Project64 as it runs good for me but everyone says RetroArch... just always had issues with RetroArch.. but gonna really sit down and set it up and give it a honest try. I still hate having to rename the config files when I save a new one... has that ever been fixed?

You don't need to. You don't even need config files at all. You can set all your Retroarch system up in Rocketluncher. That's what I've been doing.

Just specify the core you want to use, shader, and so on and Rocketlauncher will handle everything for you.

what about the controls?

If you have your Retroarch.cfg set to auto detect controls than retroarch takes care of that, unless you are picky. If you are picky than you need a cfg file for each system.
