DJ Wheels Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 I recently formatted and did a fresh install of Windows 7 and copied over my entire Hyperspin to this drive to use as backup for when my main drive fails. When opening HyperHQ everything is distorted and illegible. Also, Hyperspin seems to open (the icon appears at the bottom of the screen) but it doesn't open on my monitor. It's as if it is going to another monitor. I only have one monitor connected and my settings don't indicate otherwise. Any idea of what is going on here and how I can correct it. Thanks.
newoski Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 You are missing filesAny idea which specific files he'd be missing to cause this?Sent from my HTC6535LVW using Tapatalk
Spawk Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 I don't know about any missing files but I do know that paths are important! If your original setup was on "f" drive (for example), you cannot copy everything to your "c" drive and expect it to work. Not saying this is what is happening but it may be something to check out. kylecp1979 Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 I would say your missing files. Did you get any notifications pop up when you did the transfer? Try running a disk check maybe you can fix the files or transfer it again if you haven't already.
damageinc86 Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 This happened once way back when they had hyperlaunch updated via GIT. After i did the weird git update that involved a bunch of steps, my hyperhq became like this. I went to a backup, and it worked again. No idea why or how it happened though, so not much help.

These issues are not related. HyperLaunch was updated by git, but HS has never been and this is a HS problem. This is a path issue. If the original files were on the f drive and have now been copied to the c drive - the paths within the HS ini settings files needs updating. I doubt it's a files missing problem - however it doesn't hurt to check. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
damageinc86 Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Well maybe some paths were changed when that happened. But the only change i ever made to my system was doing that update, and it only happened immediately after that. Can't explain why or how, just that it happened when that change occurred, for me anyways. Might want to try a system restore point if you have one. That's how I got out of it.
DJ Wheels Posted December 21, 2015 Author Posted December 21, 2015 Thanks for the replies and suggestions! I believe it is indeed a path issue as Spawk and tonesmalone suggested. I do remember making some changes in the paths. When I have some free time over the holidays, I will go back and change the paths and see if that fixes things.
