kelvos Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Hello, i am Dimitrios from Greece and this is my first cab build. (based on dk's plans) I had the idea when my ps3 had been broken so i sold all games and peripherals and i funded the project. I used 1cm mdf instead of 1.6 with T-molding. An old pc, 19' lg 4:3 screen, old 2.1 speaker etc, ipac 2 controller, buttons and switches from arcadeworld.uk and super mario bros stickers. here are some pics. Project is not finished, i need to buy plexi for the screen and marquee and to install successful this time hyperspin. I am having problem with Retroarch. Each time i open the app it crashes immidiately. #@$^%@#$%.
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I LOVE this one! I know it aint finished but I love the classic shape and what looks like is going to be bright colour scheme Keep us posted on this one. Only thing I would have changed would be 8 buttons instead of 6 Fantastiche! Simply Austin's YouTube
kelvos Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 Thanx mate. You helped me a lot with your videos. But I can't figure out why RetroArch crashes immediately when starts. Well 6 buttons will work for me for now. I have spare buttons for future use if needed. ps. I love Black & white combo..
Inspector Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I'm a big fan of the classic shaped arcades and this one is done beautifully! Well done, can't wait to see the finished product.
Metalzoic Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Good job with a well shaped, flush control panel. That monitor is tiny in it though, are you planning on switching that out for something that fits the machine better?
kelvos Posted January 28, 2016 Author Posted January 28, 2016 Unfortunately Metalzoic i do not have another monitor spare to use. This cabinet is my first project but not the last. This one will be sold as much € i have spent to build it to a friend and i will start the second with a 32' tv and 4 players setup. My only problem is that with 2 childrens i do not have free time to finish it asap. Thnx inspector.
blade Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Don't worry if it's for yourself it becomes a hobby I've build a few for the kids
