damageinc86 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Figured I'd start a new thread with just the download it in, so it's easy to find and with the proper HyperMamu title Credits go to Evildindon for creating this great theme and wheels for MAME, and zorg2000k for helping to jump start me when I burned out around letter M. Over the span of a little over ayear,...yes a YEAR, the set is finally complete and ready for download. I did Widescreen and square ratio screen versions of it all, as well as a set split up for people who have the Arcade Classics manufacturers. Everything should be included with settings for the text display to put in the hyperspin settings folder, the databases for the Arcade manufacturer systems, and the default themes. I only made a full vertical set of default themes for the Atari Classics system, but put a "template" vertical theme in the other folders that can be copied and renamed to each vertical romname, so maybe someday it will be updated for every manufacturer's vertical games by myself or by other users. The MAME database that is split from the Arcade manufacturers was based off of the filtered database posted to the forums. I also took out a lot more that was still in there because I was just ready to be done with the project and thought to myself "will I ever really play this crappy ass offshoot random puzzle game from japan that I can't even understand?", or "that's the 156th puzzle/mahjong/othello clone game i've seen, OFF WITH IT'S HEAD!". Let me know if there's something amiss in the set. It was too big to upload to the downloads section so I uploaded to the FTP under Unsorted Submissions/MAME/damageinc86
EvilDindon Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Hey damage, again, sick work, you're nuts ! Ps : The screenshot above doesn't really match the original theme on fewbthings : - The description under the video is not well placed, it should start on the left bottim of it, - The title logo is too small and doesn't have a drop shadow, - The gradient of the wheel's text isn't exactly the same, it's too red. But I guess it'sbtoo late to change that lol ! But I guess these things are due to the 16\9 transition, which was not my original goal. (Hypermamu was originally made to work in an arcade cab with a 4/3 crtbmonitor) For the description, you have to edit manually the MAME.ini in hs's "settings" folder. And I guess that artwork 1 (game logo) must be redone completly to match a 16/9 ratio : you need larger png's. "Dindon" means "Turkey" in french.
damageinc86 Posted February 3, 2016 Author Posted February 3, 2016 Yeah might be the 16:9 conversion. The logos are just the old mame wheel moved to artwork1 and squished 75% for widescreen. I will try to change the coordinates of the text to be more in the lower left corner, I didn't really notice that, and I really just wanted to be done! lol But that is easy enough.
Rotgut Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Dude, I cannot wait to download this! I am actually very excited to download the widescreen version. Just wondering if I'm going to be able to find it, that's all! Lol
Rotgut Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 And, yeah, thank God you didn't create a bunch of mahjong screens. Ha
EvilDindon Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Again, I'm not sure of the result in 16/9. I conceived Hypermamu only for 4/3 monitors. "Dindon" means "Turkey" in french.

I am downloading it, I started the download at 11 o'clock last night, and it is still going! I didn't realize it also comes with revised video clips, I'm sure that's why it's taking so long.
EvilDindon Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Didn't know neither lol my original pack doesn't contain any video. Envoyé de mon A0001 en utilisant Tapatalk "Dindon" means "Turkey" in french.
damageinc86 Posted February 6, 2016 Author Posted February 6, 2016 Yeah that must be the MAME media folder. I threw it all in there I guess! lol. You can pick and choose what media from the media folders you want though I suppose. Or just get it all and be done with it.

My suggestion: turn off HS description and learn to batch infopanels in photoshop, in this way you can have MUCH more freedom with text style/font. Just follow my signature Basically you prepare a photoshop layout with variables then you retrieve informations from a .csv/txt file, photoshop will automatically generate the files with the correct names. Check the .ods prepared by billyc999 (mame is a no-clone list) https://onedrive.live.com/?authkey=!AEDuTLy-RJAlDas&id=6194B0263D174F14!9464&cid=6194B0263D174F14 Automatizing infopanels creation from .csv files for HTPCs themes (look at infopanel tutorial.zip on the ftp in dark13 folder) PNGs to SWFs automatized flash scripts Hyperspin Wheelset automatized template (photoshop's variables + batch) Aeon nox 4.13 W.I.P. hyperspin skin
