BlueGoblin Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 The current version of MAME that i use is .152 Most of the games look and play beautifully. There are a few games that look darker than usual. Pac-Man, and I think Frenzy both look a little dark than normal. Is thee any way I can fix this problem? Thanks, D.
gigapig Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Are you using shaders at all? Or perhaps you changed something in the menus and forgot about it. Try removing the cfg file for that game in the cfg folder. Back it up first of course.
BlueGoblin Posted April 15, 2016 Author Posted April 15, 2016 I removed the cfg file but that did nothing. I then went into MAME itself and launched Frenzy. Looks much better. What must I do when launching MAME through Hyperspin to correct the problem?
gigapig Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Have you got a screen shot? Also have a look at the global module settings for mame in RLUI.
BlueGoblin Posted April 15, 2016 Author Posted April 15, 2016 Here are two images. Please excuse my reflection on the screen. You'll notice that the top portion of Frenzy is darker than the bottom. Thoughts on how to resolve?
phulshof Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Isn't that just caused by the viewing angle of the monitor? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
gigapig Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Yeah weird, I would have said there is something wrong with the monitor.
BlueGoblin Posted April 15, 2016 Author Posted April 15, 2016 its not the viewing angle.. trust me. The monitor is fine. all other games on MAME and other emulators have no issues.
Metalzoic Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Are you sure you didn't just accidentally lower the brightness/contrast/gamma for those games?
BlueGoblin Posted April 16, 2016 Author Posted April 16, 2016 i'm positive. all of the other games are bright and crisp
