I hate android

Not really but yes... Yes I do. Sure all my phones have been Android and my media players are Android... But I hate it now. Why?? Because everyone is moving their focus on development for it. More importantly emulators. I don't want my emulators running on some cheap efficient machine. I want them on an over powered, over priced, enormous PC that continues to suck all my money dry from upgrades and the amount of electricity it uses. If it doesn't heat up an entire room when I turn it on then I didn't build it right. I want to be able to have every controller and accessory under the sun connected to it and pull my hair out (I lost it all a long time ago) trying to get them to all work together. Android is turning the PC into an enthusiasts only club and sadly could eventually kill the PC all together. Does anyone agree or are you welcoming devices like the nvidia sheild with open arms?

I am a PC enthusiast by any mark or measure, but I do love my Android OS in all forms. I have learned to customize it and  compile it (all on PC... the irony is not lost :) ) then build my own systems to my needs.
Must have 8 or 9 boards in this house doing their own little jobs....

Not sure it will ever replace a PC, but if it teaches us all how to build an OS with a Linux distro, can't say it's a bad thing.  :turned:
So I guess I agree, but I think in whole it's just evolution. And by definition, evolution is change... so it just plain hurts to adjust.

Lol, great post epayson85, now I know why my lights keep dimming.

Android has it's place just like the PC and they offer similar customisation just in a different size. I have tinkered with my phone (Galaxy Note 2) had it rooted and put different builds of Android right up to Marshmallow. But it doesn't work well with those builds some things just don't run right so I have gone back to the stock ROM which is KitKat 4.4

I only play games on it which have the correct controls (sliding finger) I can't stand playing tilty racing games or FPS games with invisible controls. I know I could buy a controller but I have enough to play on my enormous PC.

Nothing will kill the PC, it's been said many times but it never happens.

Awesome post XD I have similar sentiments towards gaming development placing so much attention on 3D and VR. Just give me raw powah!
